Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Slicksosa, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Hi I am not sure why there is an allegation of sock puppetry by me. I asked a question to the community as encouraged ( see above) after sumbitting an article that was declined. My question was responded to by two community editors that gave me excellent advice. It appears that my same question was posed again to the community by someone else hours after mine. I have a fairly new account < 7 days. I do not have more than one account and I am sure that those checking the facts will determine this is a false allegation. More importantly, you should address who used my comments as their own, Please advise DHeidtman (talk) 16:53, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

I originally asked the question at the help desk and apprrently did not enter information about my draft submission. I then submitted the question to the Teahouse where I received my answers as noted. Again, I am not sure why someone would duplicate my question.DHeidtman (talk) 17:02, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Swister Twister, thanks for your feedback. I thought that the sources used were reliable. Can you offer some guidance as to why they are not? Thanks DHeidtman (talk) 20:01, 23 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Be careful!

Hi DHeidtman. I'm not sure what you were trying to do, but in this edit you ended up deleting a number of other people's questions to the AfC help desk. I have fixed it, but please take care when editing in future! Joe Roe (talk) 18:35, 25 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Joe, My apologies, i am still trying to figure my way around entering questions and responding. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. I thought I was in the section with just my questions and responses to them so I am not sure where/that I deleted other information. I did just update my draft perhaps that was when it happened? Again, apologies. DHeidtman (talk) 20:38, 25 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

References

edit

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Jytdog (talk) 18:38, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
