Proposed deletion of Brian Awadis

edit

The article Brian Awadis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I'm unclear on the reliability status of "Forbes Sites," but regardless, one RS is not enough to support notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 00:51, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Citations

edit

Hi DFZapx, It is preferable to add that source for Jay Scrubb's weight to the article. Simply adding it to the wp:Edit summary would make it difficult for a reader to find the source. I cited your URL with other data to help the reader to find the source, I hope this will help you to do so in the future. The diff of my edit. I used the wp:template {{cite web}}. For cite web, the minimum parameters are the url= and title=. As there was no obvious date, I used year= instead of date=. I also added work= and wp:PIPEd NBA to National Basketball League - [[National Basketball League | NBA]] (ignore the wp:NOWIKI stuff) the first parameter is the target page and the second is what is displayed. I also added accessdate= which tells readers when this citation was made or updated. I used named references to 'reuse' that citation for Scrubb's weight as well as his height. See help:referencing for beginners, wp:citing sources, and wp:reliable sources. Thank you! Adakiko (talk) 18:54, 21 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

NBA Transactions

edit

They aren't complete until the transaction is done, the NBA approves it and the transaction is announced by the team or league. A signing or trade just being reported as "going to happen" doesn't get updated on Wikipedia. Thanks Rikster2 (talk) 04:13, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

No consensus for linking college seasons in college tenure

edit

Hi DFZapx. The basketball player infobox parameters have a lot of consensus-building discussions behind them. There is no formalized consensus on linking college years in the parentheses of players' college tenures. Multiple editors have reverted your additions of these, including me.

Please bring this up as a new topic as Template talk:Infobox basketball biography if you believe the links should be included, that way editors from all of the different basketball WikiProjects can add their thoughts to these sweeping changes. Thank you. SportsGuy789 (talk) 21:10, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

NPOY

edit

Per WP:NBAHIGHLIGHTS, "national college player of the year" is not treated as a proper noun, so it should not be capitalized. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 01:37, 1 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
