This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bruno Cote, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.brunocote.com/english/default.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Bruno Cote

Hi,

My suggestions are to:

  • Make it more clear why he is important to someone who knows nothing about landscape painters or Canadian art. What differentiates him? What have other people said about him, is he in museum collections, recognized in exhibits, etc. (Remember to stay objective, and don't copy-paste from his website!)
  • Add in-line references so it's clear where your information is coming from. If you know about his biography from meeting with him, you also need a print source to reference in the text (if no one has ever written about Cote in this way, then he probably doesn't meet Wikipedia's inclusion guidelines). To add a footnoted reference in the text, place this code where you want the footnote to appear: <ref>information about reference: author, name, date, page number.</ref>. Then at the bottom of the article, add this section:==References== and place this code under it:<references/> to make the footnotes show up. See WP:REF for more.

Those are the basics -- let me know if you have other questions. :) -- phoebe / (talk to me) 15:01, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
