Speedy deletion nomination of ChnLove

edit

Hello Cracy111,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ChnLove for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Wgolf (talk) 03:54, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.   Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses. Wikipedia is not the Yellow pages. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Wgolf (talk) 06:06, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dear Wgolf, Thanks for reviewing the article I created. I didn't know that one should not remove the speedy deletion tag for the page she or he created. Sorry for that.

I believe it is important for the company to have accurate and detailed information on wikipedia and I know the article ChnLove doesn't include much information but it should have its place on wiki just like online dating sites eHarmony or jdate.

The site has been mentioned by reliable sources such as: http://www.onlinepersonalswatch.com/news/premium-international-dating-rankings-.html

http://dating.about.com/u/reviews/asiandating/asianLUR/Jericho-s-chnlove-Review.htm

https://ca.shine.yahoo.com/-150-million-dowry-for-chinese-businessman%E2%80%99s-daughter-204344553.html

I am new here and hope you can tell me what i have to do to make this article properly according to wikipedia policies and guidelines and help with the editing. Many thanks in advance. Cracy111 (talk) 07:49, 17 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Use of Wikipedia for promotion

edit

This is one of at least 7 accounts which have been created for the sole purpose of using Wikipedia to promote "ChnLove". More than one of the accounts has received messages explaining that Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion. It appears virtually certain that some of the accounts were created for the purpose of giving the impression of multiple unconnected editors independently supporting the retention of an article at a deletion discussion. At least one of those accounts has lied, false claiming to be unaffiliated with the business, when it is clear that that is not true. Since (a) using Wikipedia for promotion is contrary to Wikipedia policy, and none of the accounts appears to have any other purpose, and (b) multiple accounts have been abused to try to sway the outcome of a discussion, which is again contrary to Wikipedia policy, the accounts have been blocked from editing. If you would like to start making constructive contributions to the encyclopaedia in other ways than promoting your business, you may request an unblock by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
