June 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Communications School (United States Marine Corps) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \babout\.com\b (links: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/officerj3/a/0602.htm, http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjo2/a/0699.htm, http://usmilitary.about.com/od/officerj3/a/0602.htm).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:36, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to Communications School (United States Marine Corps) edit

Hi! I can see that you're making a lot of improvements to the Communications School page, and we like that here at Wikipedia. I especially noticed your grammatical and spacing improvements. Thanks for caring about our article quality!

Unfortunately, we do not usually include links to other sites in the main article. If you feel that certain terms aren't linked that should be, you can create the page on Wikipedia, create a new section on a relevant page, or add the link at the bottom in a separate section. I'm going to remove these external links, but please ask if you need any help in formatting an article that's appropriate for Wikipedia.

Thanks for editing!

  • It looks like most of what looked like external links were really internal links with non-standard formatting. If you want to use internal links to other pages, just use double brackets around the words in the text. ex: [[Communications School (United States Marine Corps)]] produces Communications School (United States Marine Corps). If you want your link to look different than the page title, you can format it like: [[Communications School (United States Marine Corps)|Communications School]] which looks like Communications School.

I hope this helps! -- ScaldingHotSoup (talk) 05:18, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
