Caroline Cox, Baroness Cox

edit

When you made this edit to Caroline Cox, Baroness Cox, you removed a template which indicated that the page is currently protected from editing by new or unregistered users. Can I ask you to be careful not to do so, because other editors need to know the status of the article?

I would encourage you not to continue the continual changing of the article between two rival versions? This is known as a 'revert war' and is considered harmful. Your edit summary also characterised the previous version as 'vandalism'; it is best not to use this sort of description unless it is obvious that the other editor was not making an honest attempt to improve the article, and I do not think that is the case here.

The best thing to do is to go to the article talk page and to explain why you dislike the version which the other editor preferred, and then to discuss and negotiate over the content so that you can come to an agreement. Sam Blacketer (talk) 22:19, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article has been protected again because of edit warring. You need to discuss these edits on the article's talk page; or else it will just keep getting protected for longer periods of time. rootology (C)(T) 17:57, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Admins on Baroness Cox

edit

I've asked other admins to review this all here. Just a note--I've got no history, involvement, or anything here, beyond having protected the article temporarily to stop edit warring by multiple users. Please weigh in on that thread on WP:ANI. rootology (C)(T) 19:11, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Could you provide some sources to back up your edits? I'm trying to find sources but not having much luck. AlistairMcMillan (talk) 19:36, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi

I rolled-back your edit to User:SineBot thinking it was vandalism (normally you'd communicate with a regular editor via their talk page, not their user page, and SineBot is a bot, not a human).

If you wish to chat to SineBot's operator please locate and use their talk page.
