Hi

and welcome to Wikipedia. Can I suggest avoiding terms like 'focused' which tend to attract the spam-hunters (like me...)? They are only used by people working for companies or preparing press releases - neither of which are really approved of here. You must also show notability in independent sources WP:GNG and WP:V using reliable sources WP:RS. I've not looked at yours closely, so don't take this as criticism, but do take it as advice. Thanks for the welcome and the comments. I'll try to use more neutral terms.Cochere (talk) 14:37, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to get feedback (terrifying thought!) on this article on HVS Global Hospitality Services. I've tried to format the article following Wikipedia guidelines but have most likely erred in several places; for example, I couldn't figure out how to format the article name. Some background in terms of notability: every major player in the lodging industry has done business with HVS or knows of HVS and Steve Rushmore (HVS founder and president). A May 2010 cover story in Lodging Hospitality said of Rushmore, "He's the most influential person in the lodging industry and has been for more than 25 years." The article provides a history of the company. Other than giving a list of HVS services, I've avoided discussing the "commercial" side of HVS (its core business of hotel appraisal and consulting). Instead, the article describes how HVS has benefitted the overall lodging industry, particularly by developing the methodology for appraising hotels and through supporting education. I hope the citations are appropriate. I haven't addressed HVS and disambiguation yet. Cochere (talk) 17:33, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I took liberty and moved your draft to this user subpage. It is better for you to develop such a draft in an area other than your user page. The user page is where you can tell about yourself. This link provides more information on user pages. And now I'll look at the draft itself. My76Strat 00:11, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for setting up the user subpage. I checked your link to the User pages and gained additional guidance and would like to make known that I work for HVS. Do you have any feedback on the article yet? I've provided a number of references, but is there anything that needs further verification? Cochere (talk) 15:24, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
