Speedy deletion nomination of Caroline Thompson (soldier) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Caroline Thompson (soldier) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Blacktino edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blacktino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1691449/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Unsourced biographical details / biographies edit

Hi there. I noticed that you recently edited a few biographical articles on living people. The problem is that you added unsourced biographical details and created unsourced biographies. It's especially important that we keep our biographical articles well-sourced, as misinformation in them can damage people in the real world. One thing that you shouldn't ever do is copy data from the IMDB directly into a biographical article, as the IMDB's data is considered unreliable. Birth dates and that sort of thing can be kept blank until a high quality source, such as Entertainment Weekly or the Los Angeles Times, verify it. It's not a big deal to have a few parameters in the infobox empty. It's better to have a short, well-cited article than an article full of unsourced information. July 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:12, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:18, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

SwisterTwister talk 04:16, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I nominated your article for deletion because there weren't any good sources to suggest good independent notability. Although IMDb lists credits and other information, the article can't be supported simply by that link (preferably news and magazine coverage is used to establish notability).
