Proposed deletion of SS Sunridges Ton edit

The article SS Sunridges Ton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable line of cricket bats. The producing company has yet to demonstrate notability , but if it had that might be a redirect. In the absence of a company article this can only be deleted . Fails WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Velella  Velella Talk   22:11, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

June 2017 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Sareen Sports Industries. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sulaimandaud (talk) 05:39, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I actually did try to resolve this issue. Please see your talk page, and the comment in my new edit on this article.

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Sareen Sports Industries, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Sulaimandaud (talk) 05:47, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'll leave the advert tag you added for now, since you've added it in twice. I guess I'll also repeat the comment I posted on your talk page, since I don't know if you addressed it. My question was, how do you think the Sareen article uses ad-like language? The advert template says that ad-like pages "may tell users to buy the company's product, provide price lists, give links to online sellers, or use unencyclopedic or meaningless buzzwords." Where in the Sareen article did you think any of those things are done? Thanks again. Climate7298 (talk) 05:55, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, wanted to mention that I did leave a reason for taking it out, at least in the second edit summary. Climate7298 (talk) 05:56, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:29, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Given your current pages, I'll explain why these pages cannot be instantly whatever claims exist; Notability cannot be inherited and this includes publication names since we deeply weigh the contents and what they themselves mean, and the current pages are based from only announcements, notices, etc. and it only suggests it's only business-focused as they would advertise anywhere else. SwisterTwister talk 03:04, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi SwisterTwister, thanks for your feedback. I'm guessing you're referencing the articles about the SS Ton bat, Hathat Dekha, and Biwi Aur Makan. I was surprised to find that they didn't have articles already, since they are all popular subjects. But I couldn't find the best references for them, either. My hope was that others may be able to fill in with more references to substantiate that they meet WP standards. Climate7298 (talk) 03:37, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Kudpung, thanks for your review of the page! Very nice of you to have looked at it. I have tried to address the issue. Could I ask you to have another glance at it, since it's still marked as a new unreviewed article? Re: PROD you rightly removed edit

Hello Climate. Re your message at Talk:Sri Lankan cricket team in India in 1986–87, you are absolutely right and I have cautioned the person who placed the PROD because it was totally incorrect and inappropriate, based on completely false reasoning, and bang out of order. Thanks very much and all the best. Jack | talk page 20:06, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey Jack! Thank you for your message. I agree, I think Test series should always have their own page given their significance. It's so nice of you to have followed up on this! Climate7298 (talk) 03:43, 11 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
