September 2016

edit

Hello, I'm TJRC. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Santa Monica, California, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it with an indication of why it is sufficiently noteworthy to be included, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I see you re-added it, and still did not include a source. You also removed the refimprove tag, while doing nothing to address the issue identified by the tag. Please don't do that. TJRC (talk) 23:53, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Mark Matthew Herd has been reverted.
Your edit here to Mark Matthew Herd was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/voteherd2016) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Nomination of Alex Merced for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Alex Merced is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alex Merced until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. – Muboshgu (talk) 06:46, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Categories

edit

If an article is in a subcategory, it automatically also is in the parent category. Which is why there is no need to put Steve Albini in the Category:American guitarists. It is already in the Category:American male guitarists, and that is a subcat (more pecise category) of Category:American guitarists. All American male guitarists are American guitarists.
