May 2015 edit

Hello, I'm MrX. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Honda CR-V, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. - MrX 15:45, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - MrX 15:47, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Che2on. The copyright issue that I identified was with the text that you copied from the source website. Unless you created the content (text or photos), someone else owns the copyright and you are not allowed to copy it onto Wikipedia unless the copyright owner agrees to make the content freely available to everyone. Please click on the links in the above messages and carefully read the policies. If you have any questions, you can post them here and I will try to help. Please make sure you sign all of your talk page messages by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end.- MrX 16:57, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi MrX Event the text is not copied from Economic times Auto. I received a Press Release from Suzuki Motorcycles by an official PR person.- MrX 17:29, 19 May 2015 (UTC) Can we not have an article for these new bikes? I am sorry this is the first time i m interacting on Wikipidea — Preceding unsigned comment added by Che2on (talkcontribs) Reply
Please read the policies as I suggested. You can't copy material from any sources, including press releases. You have to write using your own words, based on the information in the sources. Yes, there can be an article on the bikes if there are at least a few reliable sources (not Suzuki) that have written about the bikes.- MrX 17:29, 19 May 2015 (UTC) (when you type the four tildes, you should leave the nowiki part out). Please note that if you work for Suzuki or are being compensated to edit on their behalf, you must disclose it. If this is the case, please read the three sections starting here: WP:PAY.- MrX 17:29, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi MrX, I am not associated with Suzuki Motorcycle in anyway. I run an automotive portal http://blog.gaadikey.com. So want to add details about these new bikes - which also allows me to add external links/ references.Che2on (talk) 09:13, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
