Speedy deletion nomination of Sarah Meeker Jensen edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sarah Meeker Jensen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 1292simon (talk) 09:13, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have recreated this article and left a fuller reply on my talk page. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I am improving this article with online and print sources with more detailed citations. I wish before deleting it, you had pinged me. FYI I used all of these people's pages (mostly men) as references upon creating the original article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fellow_of_the_American_Institute_of_Architects {ping:Ritchie333}

For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_Scott_Brown How many sentences are not cited here? I will cite every single sentence on Meeker Jensen's page. But the delete is making it hard and discouraging for a relatively new and eager Wikipedia contributor/researcher as myself. I would please invite experienced contributors to reach out, compare, use a bit of benefit of the doubt to give room for edits.

Hi. The first thing I would recommend is pop onto Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red, and have a look through the project page. Then go to the talk page, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red. The project is full of helpful and welcoming people, and you'll be looked after. I appreciate you are feeling discouraged, but the article has been restored and cleaned up - administrators do try and work with people, especially newcomers as much as possible. Hi, Thanks so much Ritchie, I agree that the article is now in so much better shape. Always open for suggestions and edits, happy to do the work. I'll connect with the folks over at Women in Red. Thank you and have a great day.
