Speedy deletion of Cease

edit

A tag has been placed on Cease requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. DoubleBlue (Talk) 14:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redirect of Cease (Street Artist)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cease (Street Artist), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cease (Street Artist) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cease (Street Artist), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 15:00, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. DoubleBlue (Talk) 15:00, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to User:TrulyBlue. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. DoubleBlue (Talk) 15:05, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Cease. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. DoubleBlue (Talk) 15:06, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please consult WP:BIO, WP:Reliable sources, WP:Verifiability, WP:COI, and Wikipedia:Your first article. Thanks DoubleBlue (Talk) 15:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Cease. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DoubleBlue (Talk) 15:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page, as you did with Cease, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:15, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations! Your request to be blocked has been granted! You will be blocked from editing for a period of 1 year in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for ignoring warnings and persistently recreating inappropriate articles. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:20, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Everyone kept deleting the page before I could add my references.

Decline reason:

reason — While not a valid reason to be unblocked, the references provided thusfar did not establish the notability of the subject, repeatedly brought to your attention above. Decline on the basis that you have not demonstrated the faculties expected of positive contributors. Sorry.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Are you familiar with our conflict of interest guidelines? Wikipedia editors all agree not to write about ourselves or our own businesses; if you are truly notable, then it is inevitable that one of your many fans will write about you. Since you won't be writing about yourself, do you still want a Wikipedia account? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would indeed like a wikipedia account, though will my access be restored as I am now aware of the Guidelines?

Will you agree to refrain from creating or editing an article on "Cease"? In other words, please request another unblock and show that you have read and understood WP:BIO and WP:COI. — Yamla (talk) 16:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dude, you can't do that: user an administrator template to try and unblock yourself. I don't think you actually do get it. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Because of your recent edits, including trying to unblock yourself, I am declining at this time. I want to see alot more from you that would indicate your desire to work within the community consensus approved policies and guidelines.
