A WCNA 2023 Barncompass

edit
  WCNA 2023 Barncompass
Thank you for attending Thomas Fisher Rare Books Library culture crawl tour. I am awarding this barncompass to you. No matter how small your contributions are, every little bit helps. (Barncompass originated in Wikivoyage as a response to Wikipedia's barnstar. Since everyone travelled long distances for the conference and would have no doubt pulled out a map app at some point, awarding a barncompass is probably as fitting as a barnstar.) Wikipedia:Meetup/CCA 2024

Hi @Carocaropilates. You mistakenly submitted this for review to be published as an article, I have moved it to the Wikipedia Mainspace for you.

You'll need to advertise it on Wikipedia:Meetup too. Qcne (talk) 15:03, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Actually, that would be the project namespace! Peaceray (talk) 15:45, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I knew I messed up but wasn’t sure how to fix it. Thank you so much Peaceray!! Carocaropilates (talk) 16:07, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:CCA 2024

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:CCA 2024, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Forget that. The meetup page is now at Wikipedia:Meetup/CCA 2024. Peaceray (talk) 15:43, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Citations

edit

Please avoid bare URLs? wp:RefToolbar/2.0, which is available on the standard Wiki editor, helps with formatting a citation. It formats wp:templates {{cite web}}, {{cite journal}} (for magazines, science periodicals, and others), {{cite book}}, and {{cite news}}. Guides and policy pages: help:referencing for beginners and wp:citing sources. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:10, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I used this for the first time this week, very useful. Carocaropilates (talk) 18:47, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
