Hi Longhair!
Thank you. I am an environmental activist, with an interest in air emissions, adding data from my researches. I have some experience in wiki projects, so hopefully there will be no problems.

Carbon footprint data edit

Hi Carbonwatch, I've reverted a few of your edits and wanted to let you know why. While a company's carbon footprint might be important to some articles (and might not be to others), we can't include information just because it happened to be reported in a report, especially if the report was published by a non-neutral source like the company itself. Generally, we should only include information if it's reported by reliable, secondary sources like newspapers. This ensures that the information is accurate and neutral, and also ensures that it's notable (we can't repeat everything that appeared in an annual report - we have to pick the important parts, and the way to evaluate that notablility is by reflecting what's been picked up by reliable sources like newspapers). I suspect there is a lot of reporting in reliable sources on companies' carbon footprints, so invite you to find these sources and add the information to Wikipedia where it seems significant. -M.nelson (talk) 11:05, 23 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
