Edit summary tips

Hello, Calvin

I hope you won't mind me coming to you with a few remarks about how you work. I hope you'll take these few minor comments as constructive suggestions rather than harsh criticisms. These thoughts occurred to me as I examined the series of changes you made today (ignore one edit each from Legolas and Jivesh) to Rude Boy (song)

1. You could be more expressive with your edit summaries than just "fix" or "ref fix". Sometimes you're adding or removing wikilinks, sometimes you're fiddling with italics, but sometimes you're moving whole sections. As a special example, look at this edit where you provided the summary "Removed AC interview". BTW, thanks very much for consistently providing edit summaries. But in this example, it would have been great if you had said why you were removing the interview. Do you see what I mean? You courteously provided the part somebody could (eventually) figure out by studying your edit, but kept silent on the part we can only guess at.
2. Your edits where you add apostrophes to try to force cancellation of the italics from the {{cite}} templates are, IMO, misplaced. First of all, if you don't want the work italicized you should either get the {{cite}} templates changed (oh, how I dream of that day) or stop using the templates. You should also be aware that the added apostrophes will only do what you want until the bot comes along and removes that extra formatting crap (or until {{cite}} is corrected).
3. Little edits like this, marked ref fix but which actually just cancel site italicization by template, is just a minor, minor edit. Please mark it as such. There's a "This is a minor edit" checkbox just above the Save page button; please check that box when it's appropriate.

You should use the {{Cite journal}} template. You can take a look at ref #10 of "Heartbreaker (Mariah Carey song)" to see how it's formatted. ISSN and the publisher are the same for "If It's Lovin' that You Want" review too. Date is August 27, 2005; volume is 117; issue is 35; page (number) is 52. Incubate means when an article doesn't have enough information to be open for everyone to see, but has enough not to be deleted from wikipedia. People looking for the article won't find it, but it does exist. But you've already copied what I wrote from We Found Love, which is the same from the incubated article. Plus, this article is smaller than the one in the incubator, so someone would nominate to be deleted within the next few hours. I nominated it for speedy deletion when it had a one line lead only, no other sections, plus I knew the history of what had been going on with regard to the incubated article, I can't help that you didn't know. I care about Rihanna articles and the ones i am heavily involved with in editing. I don't deny, and shouldn't be made to feel like I should. Lol - God, what rubbish timing. Perhaps I should have waited a day to close the AFD, but someone else would have just come by - and maybe deleted. Yes, the title helps. I'd take a day to cleanup some of the prose (esp. the lead) and firmly source the title (This might help with that). A lot of the concern at the AFD revolved around the title and the release date; with the title, we now need to make sure we have that firm release date. If so, we might be in good shape. What has been created now is just a redirect, not an article. There is no harm in leaving it in place: if and when the article is ready it can replace the redirect. Skin

So, this is happening right now. Skin is the official music being used in the Rihanna Armani campaign. I was thinking about beginning work on an article for Skin, do you think it passes WP:NSONGS and WP:GNG? I think it does, but before I begin work, I just wanted to ask you. Skin has not charted but i can pass WP:GNG. As far as i know, there was even an official remix of that song as it was supposed to be the lead single form the re-release of Loud.
