Categoy:Romanian Musicians edit

Hi, I saw you created Categoy:Romanian Musicians. I have nominated it for deletion. Not that the page already exists at Category:Romanian musicians. You made a mistake in that you spelt "category" slightly wrong. If you've any messages/questions, please feel free to leave them on my talk page. Cheers :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 23:35, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks and sorry. I created it twice, I am not well accostumed with wikipedia editing.

Please give me a link where I could post my opinion about improving wikipedia editing for dumb user such as myself. Thanks again. Calusarul (talk) 23:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I don't quite understand your question :/. The category for all the different genres is Category:Romanian musicians by genre. The category you attempted to create (Categoy:Romanian Musicians, already exists at Category:Romanian musicians, so if we delete the one you created everything should be back to normal again. As to easier editing, there's a couple of things you could try to help. For example, you could try wikiEd. Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk) 23:51, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I got it now as far as categories are concerned. I'll see how that WikiEd can help me from now on.Calusarul (talk) 23:56, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Great, hope to see you around on the 'pedia :). If you need help with anything in the future please feel free to use my talk page :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 00:03, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

re: How to translate edit

Hi there again :). Splitting a page in half, with one half being English, and the other being a different language, is not possible. We're the English Wikipedia, so all our articles are in English. But, you can still do translating. If you want to translate articles in different languages, try this page, where users list pages which are currently in a different language (and then other users translate them). As well as this, there are other language wikipedias, you can see them all if you go to List of Wikipedias. It is possible to create pages on wikipedias, which are translated versions of pages on a different language Wikipedia, as explained at this page if that makes sense. Hope all that helps :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 16:03, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re:Romanian surnames edit

Hello. I was removing some of the un-referenced lists. The Romanian names were tagged since May 2009 as being unreferenced. That article gets so many edits every week, with people adding and removing names at random, that it can't be considered reliable at all. So that was why I removed some of the countries. If you know of a reliable web site, or something, that lists the common names of Romania or any other Country, then I don't see how anyone can have any problems with you adding to the article.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 06:59, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Algos edit

Hey there, thanks for pointing out :) but I can't remember asking what the P in X means, because I knew the chi ro for a quite some time. Could you perhaps point out who or what Algos is (with a link to my question perhaps)? I can't find it in my contributions. Hope to hear from you soon! Mallerd (talk) 10:47, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

O sorry, you were right. I didn't know it was a user and I saw my question on his talkpage. 2007 was quite some time ago :P I learned shortly after that moment. I thank you for you help :) Have a nice weekend Mallerd (talk) 10:49, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Romanian flags edit

I suggest reading WP:SOURCES. You'll find there that Wikipedia articles should be based on "reliable, third-party (independent), published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy ... In general, the best sources have a professional structure in place for checking or analyzing facts, legal issues, evidence, and arguments; as a rule of thumb, the greater the degree of scrutiny given to these issues, the more reliable the source. Academic and peer-reviewed publications are usually the most reliable sources where available, such as in history". The policy goes on to say that "Questionable sources are those with a poor reputation for checking the facts, or with no editorial oversight".

Does inventatori.ro have an editorial process? Does iancu.ro? No, they're personal websites. What they say may be true, but the standard is verifiability, not truth. - 69.163.222.199 (talk) 15:36, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The story that Petrache Poenaru invented the Romanian flag after seeing the French one while traveling trough France is pure fantasy. The first tricolor flag appeared in 1834 as a creation of (probably) the domnitor Alexandru Dimitrie Ghica. Alex:D (talk) 13:40, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why do you think that story is pure fantasy? I mean, someone must have created that flag. Is there any proof that someone else creted it or that Poenaru definetly didn't? I'm not Poenaru's relative, I just heard someone say that he designed the flag and found a few websites that stated the same thing. Now, I have no idea if they're credible or not.

Question edit

Does this { { help me } } really work? Căluşaru' (talk) 23:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes it does really work. Please do not misuse it. It alerts users in the IRC. If you misuse this it causes users to respond to a false alert. Thank you. Joe Gazz84usertalkcontribsEditor Review 23:12, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks, I had no idea how it works. Still, there should be a gentle help me, one that doesn't alert people and simply answers their questions in a couple of hours, in a few days. Căluşaru' (talk) 23:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

(edit conflict) And users don't like false alerts ... makes us angry ... and trust me, you don't want to see an angry Wikipedian... :) Have a cookie!

Not sure what you mean by a gentle help me ... --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 23:20, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
There is not one, in general if you have a question you can just ask an admin or a user for help. The {{helpme}} is for immediate or quick answers. Please do not misuse it. Thank you. Joe Gazz84usertalkcontribsEditor Review 23:24, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, I see now I didn't say a word: sorry! I didn't know that helpme was intended for quick answers (although I imagined it was intended for serious questions). Anyway, I won't abuse it, I mainly read articles and rarely contribute. Well, thanks again, guys, and I'm sorry for having troubled you. Good cookies, by the way. See ya! Căluşaru' (talk)

No hard feelings! It is for serious questions but we all have fun feel free to join us at Wikipedia's Help channel, #wikipedia-en-help . Joe Gazz84usertalkcontribsEditor Review 23:47, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • It isn't about a living person. The actor died in 2002. Is it proposed for deletion because the article is just a stub? Căluşaru' (talk) 15:26, 4 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 30 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Museum of cacao and chocolate, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Dutch and French (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
