The single external link (http://www.magistermusicae.com/ ) supplied on your many Feb 9 2007 page creations seems like SPAM. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for your reference to the external links guideline and spam policies. I am new at the Wikipedia community and I did not know that things such as ”repeatedly adding links” could be considered Spam. However after reading the guidelines and policies, I understand that the external link [1] should not be considered Spam. Magister Musicae host videos with master classes from the professor and it adds information to the article; People will not only be able to read about his biography, but also to watch his teachings through the videos in the link. Magister Musicae has been developed by some well known music schools in Europe such as the Royal College, The Reina Sofía School of Music, The Koninklinjk Conservatorium from Brussels or the Porto School of Music . Some of them are State-owned and all of them are non-profit institutions, and makes Magister Musicae a reliable source of information.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Petras Geniušas. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. The problem is that you're linking to Magister Musicae on many different pages, and it isn't English. This is the English-language Wikipedia. Maybe you're looking for the spanish-language one? Veinor (talk to me) 17:57, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Lorin Maazel

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Lorin Maazel do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:27, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please, do not add those links, they do not tell about the person, they tell about his courses. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:27, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Category:Musicians

edit

Please do not use this category, as it's only for subcategories (or perhaps very rare situations). Instead either use a country's musicians category, for example if the musician is a Belgian: Category:Belgian musicians, or even better Category:Belgian pianists if the Belgian musician is a pianist. The last one is very good since it will make both Category:Musicians and Category:Pianists insufficient, and can thus be removed. Thank you. Spelemann 18:13, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Magister Musicae

edit

I have removed all external links sections from the pages you created. The external links were to a Spanish page, you were adding them in a WP:SPAM way, and they do not comply with WP:EL. Please do not add the links again. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 22:36, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'll reply here. The links are not the official pages of the persons, they are just sidely linked with the subject of the page. I am not sure if there is a need for these links in the pages' external links sections, you could of course expand the articles with information and use the website as a reference. In all cases, I think the link should indeed be to the English site, not to the Spanish version. So I guess the question you should ask yourself is, does the site tell things that I can incorporate into the wikipedia page (in which case it is a good reference). Another option is that you discuss the addition on the talkpages, but please refrain from adding them systematically, that is considered spam. Hope this helps. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:03, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Rita Sloan

edit

A tag has been placed on Rita Sloan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Butseriouslyfolks 18:47, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía

edit

A tag has been placed on Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. André Marchand

edit

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article André Marchand, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Gordon Fergus-Thompson with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Manu Mellaerts

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Manu Mellaerts, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Manu Mellaerts. slakrtalk / 21:39, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Cada2! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 28 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Speedy deletion nomination of Rimantas Armonas

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rimantas Armonas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Epeefleche (talk) 02:45, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
