Sockpuppetry accusation

edit

This account was blocked on May 5, 2010 due to suspicions it is connected to the now-blocked Pops1775 (talk · contribs), who is apparently another Marine editing from the same IP web proxy.

Bunns 1775 has emailed unblock-en-l with an email address that confirms his identity, as disclosed on-wiki when he set up the account. As we have confirmed identity in this case, I am unblocking.

If the account develops into a problematic editor in the future that can be handled on a case by case basis, but the net was cast too wide here on the sockpuppetry claim. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 19:15, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Let's try that again...

You mentioned before that the 1775 indicated the other account was also a Marine. Is that a generic Marine thing, or a particular unit, or what? Signed, utterly ignorant. --jpgordon::==( o ) 23:14, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The United States Marine Corps was founded on Nov 10. 1775. I have seen alot of Marines with 1775 or some variation thereof in their usernames.Bunns 1775 (talk) 11:27, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
