License tagging for Image:0007czqg.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:0007czqg.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Space Needle during blizzard.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Space Needle during blizzard.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:05, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please don't nominate my pictures

edit

I refer to Image:Singapore Skyline Panorama.jpg

Just today, I found that you were trying to nominate it as Feature Picture. Thank you, and I appreciate your effort to do so.

However, it would be appreciated that you shouldn't nominate my pictures for any featured picture candidate. You should also at least let me know that you were proceeding to nominate my image. As far as concerned, I will never nominate any of my images over at Wiki Commons for a number of reasons. I don't take pictures and make them to be recognized and featured - I took them for encyclopedic purposes.

Thank you. Someformofhuman Speak now! 04:49, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's alright. I do appreciate you liked it.

Thanks for uploading File:Rainer from Seattle.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
