File permission problem with File:Bohemian Group Concert Photo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bohemian Group Concert Photo.jpg, which you've attributed to Park Sang Woo. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:01, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Bohemiangroupconcertphoto.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bohemiangroupconcertphoto.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Headbanging. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Orphaned non-free image File:SakirooAccordingToThemPoster.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:SakirooAccordingToThemPoster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Replaceable fair use File:SakirooSouthKoreanArtist.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:SakirooSouthKoreanArtist.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:11, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks :) This was my second K-pop concert after a Teen Top one in Hungary. Unfortunately they are very rare in Europe. The photos were pure luck, since I don't have any experience in photography, but I bought a Samsung NX300 and it did a good job in auto mode. :) and I had a press pass. It really makes a difference when you can take photos from the pit and not from the crowd. Also because these cameras are usually not allowed in the audience in Europe. Regarding photos from Mexico and Latin America, I think we can try to ask fan clubs for one or two photos but unfortunately I had bad experiences with K-pop fandoms in Asia when asking for photos under a free licence. Somehow nobody wants to share the photos they made without watermark. They don't understand what Wikipedia is and how it works. Maybe Latin American fans would be more willing to share a few shots? I'm hoping that in the future more bands will come to places near my country so I can go and take photos with a press pass. :) Teemeah 편지 (letter) 09:06, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi

Don't take it to heart so much (look who's talking, lol), these arguments can get pretty wild here. This is also why I don't really like editing anything on enwiki, there are always these smart people throwing a gazillion rules pages in your face instead of actually listening and reacting to arguments, they repeat the same rule-bound views like a parrot. Rules are fantastic things, i love them myself, but there is a limit, and even Wikipedia says that these rules are guidelines, they are not set in stone. I find it completely unreasonable that our arguments are ignored for the sake of following a guideline's words letter by letter without actually thinking. Or knowing the subcontext of the actual topic. I'm also getting tired of it, but I have been doing this for 10 years now, and you just started, and it's really unfortunate that these people are driving away newbies who are willing to learn the application of rules. Regarding the deletion of comments on talk page: please don't do it. That's considered bad manners to delete previous comments made, especially if others' comments are also removed. What's been written here is already out there, there is no way to take it back... The history page preserves it to eternity anyways. :) Red linking is becoming less and less accepted in enwiki, that's my observation. They look at red links like some kind of serious illness. Red links are supposed to show what articles are still missing, what needs to be written. Of course a page looks fanstastically compelte with blue links only but that's a bit deceptive if the yet to be written articles are not linked. My home wiki is full of red links. :) we don't mind them over there. :) Of course only those things should be linked which are notable, so there is chance sometime someone will write that article. Cheers Teemeah 편지 (letter) 20:44, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks Teemeah - I reverted the Talk deletions on the page. I thought it was OK, because Drmies had deleted the prior list that I had added. STILL LEARNING!
I think you immediately understood that Drmies was deleting all red-linked concerts, which I did not. In addition, he claims that he does not know what I mean by "red-linked deletions"? hahaha! Yes, I know he was playing with me, as a newbie, and have seen his casual street language amongst his peers.
Yes, I know that WP is very strict, especially to English speakers, like me. I added my name to Korea's WP and have done some minor edits there - they have fewer references and criteria. Thank you so much for listening to me. I admire you as a "fighter"! I can obviously see that K-Pop articles are lacking - but, I'm pretty laid back and don't mind the interactions between editors and fans that have a lower level grasp of English and who may not realize that WP is strict. Truly - I love WP and feel that it is for all peoples of the world, in all languages - and if we can meet on en:WP - then I am truly gratified, since I am a dunce in foreign languages! On Twitter and FB, all the Korean culture and K-Pop fans are meeting in English - how lucky I am! Thank you so much Teemeah!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 21:18, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
He removed the table because it was making the conversation difficult to read. We don't usually post such stuff on talk pages (especially with references added). You can copy such onto a user subpage (User:Yourname/subpage) and then link to it on the talk page, that's a cleaner way to refer to deleted things you want to show. Or you can link to an "oldid", a version of the article that has the deleted parts still, if you go to the history tab and select the older version, you get the full link to the archived version of the page before the deletion. It is also a usual practice. You'll get to learn the tricks eventually, it does not come all at once. I started my wikipedia career with uploading album covers to my home wiki - only to learn it was forbidden (in Hungary there is no fair use law). :D Wikipedia (especially enwiki) has a LOT of rules. We have an insane amount of documentation on how to do and not do stuff. I don't even understand who would ever read so many guideline pages. I've been here for 10 years and I still find guideline pages I have never seen before! I think it would be high time to simplify the rules before every new editor gets fed up with this insaneness here. By the way, I've seen on your Twitter page that you have a quote from Junsu. Is he your bias in JYJ? Teemeah 편지 (letter) 20:13, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks Teemeah, I knew there was a way to store it somewhere for reference, as I had seen people refer to this, but didn't know how to do it. Yes, I didn't mind him taking it off the page, it was getting in the way.

Haha - the first time I uploaded images - it reminded me of a government form - they let you do it blindly - then kindly give you the proper instructions after it is done! Still learning by example, I'm afraid, there are a lot of rules, and it's easier to remember the right way, once you've broken the rule! WP does say, "be bold in your edits", but I don't like to make the same mistake twice, and cause undo work for patrolling editors.

Yes, Junsu is my bias - as I said - my first concert - and what a concert it was! Tarantallegra introduced me to Flowsik and Aziatix - and Double K on the album is still one of my favorite (under-rated) rappers. Is your User name in Hungarian based on Xia?--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 01:43, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

No, my name is a Chinese word, Xiaolong means Little Dragon (Xiao =small, Long=Dragon). It was Bruce Lee's nickname, but mine comes from G-Dragon actually. He is my ultimate bias, but Junsu is my bias from JYJ, and JYJ is my second favourite band after Bigbang. My third bias band is Ftisland, and well, you can guess who my bias in FTI is :))) I love Junsu's voice and can't wait for his third album. This is going to be an exciting year for me, three of my biases are about to make a comeback in the first half of this year :D I'm literally totally hyped up that Bigbang is making a comeback after 3 years and I really want them to come to Europe so I can see them live at least once before they enlist. I'm afaid I will never be able to see JYJ or Junsu on stage... Their tours nowadays are all Asia only and Jaejoong is enlisting next month. Yoochun will probably follow end of this year and Junsu next year. *sigh* And then Bigbang will, too. Teemeah 편지 (letter) 14:28, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

The name fits you perfectly Teemeah! And if you weren't a Dragon, you would be a Tiger! This is my birth year - I'm a sheep. haha! I appreciate you chatting with me right now, as I was disappointed with recent events on WP.... It is a good year for you - BB comes to U.S. a lot but I haven't seen them; I picked up Taeyang's "Rise" in Seoul - every track is great! And, it's funny how people like CN Blue & FT Island - but usually pick only one to follow, like me, I follow CN Blue (Blue Moon tour in NYC in the snow was unforgettable!), although I think Hongki has a stronger rock voice & love their J-rock stuff. My real J-rock passion is One OK Rock! You've been at WP & kpop a lot longer than me - I came on after TVXQ split - their Japanese "Bolero" is my fav all time song...too sad...and too sad to think of JYJ going to military, I wish they would enlist all together. Follow me on twitter for more chat - we're all ages! I found out about M.Pire (the Hawaiian concert that Dmies left on the list.) from the very active Romanian JYJ fanclub who started the M.Pire one, as JYJ are big friends of M.Pire! And, in U.S. we're finally getting kpop in southern states! I saw Block B last year and Topp Dogg this month, both in Miami. This week I'm going up to give Southern state support for Eric Nam's concert (with SPICA's Kim Boa), in his home town Atlanta - he's coming home (4 city tour)! And a friend has invited me to stay for the SXSW concert with Epic High and Crayon Pop, etc., in Austin next month. Truly - I really like the List of Kpop concerts outside Asia - to see where all the bands were going. I guess for you to see kpop, you have to travel, like me, around Europe to catch them. (I'll never forget the fancam of JYJ in Barcelona, doing "Empty" in their white suits - made me a lifelong fan!) Thanks again for making me feel better!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 22:07, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
