I think, it is clear to me the reason, why my introduction in the sandbox had been deleted. I accidentically set it into the wrong directory. But despite all that I am still considering how to deal with it - even I do not know, if the deleting revisor wishes to be contacted at his talk-page. I suppose, the sandbox is the same as the "Spielwiese" of the german Wikipedia - a room for developing an article or paragraphs and saving them until they are ready to be published. Bur I do not know, if an introduction of myself is needed. So I did not dare to write anything like this again. I just intended to be polite, but I apologize for having caused troubles. Wish a happy Easter timeBockpeterteuto (talk) 10:08, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Bockpeterteuto I only just noticed this because I have just answered on my talk page. Note that most people do not watch other peoples talk page after posting such messages so do not see replies. You can cause someone to be notified if you link to their name and sign the edit (see Help:Notifications). So above J850NK would probably not have seen your reply but becasue I linked to them with [[User:J850NK|]] or {{u|J850NK}} they will now be notified (if they have not turned notifications off).
- The same with your posts below about White Lady - if it's a general discussion you can post on the article talk page Talk:White Lady and mention other editors as above to notify them, or if your edits have been changed by a particular editor I would discuss with them on there talk page. However I see you posted to the Teahouse here and [[User:|LuckyLouie]] as well as others responded to you there. However no need to be discouraged as your edits were not just reverted just re-edited - so your edits followed by LuckyLouies edits still resulted in these total changes. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:49, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Bockpeterteuto sorry I missed your initial response - the above user is correct, as I wasn't watching your talk page I didn't get notified. However, as they explained, if you want to make sure I see it, please 'ping' me in the ways described above. I hope the advice they gave you is helpful - always post on the relevant talk page of an article or user if you need help with something or want to start a discussion. If you need anything else, feel free to ping me or ask on my talk page and definitely don't be put off editing! Thanks, J850NK (talk) 12:30, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello @J850NK:, hello @KylieTastic:, I have to apologize for answering so late, but I had a lot of things to do and when I came home from work I was so very exhausted, that I thought, I could not write good answers anymore. So please do not believe I would give up writing in the English Wikipedia. I would like to send you the expression of my thankfulness for your kind advices, explanations, your encouragement to go on writing and your offer, to visit you at your talk page. They were very helpful and maybe it could happen, that I will contact you, when I am having questions. Another intention of mine is to try the ping-function! Maybe this might be a little bit too late, but I wish you to have had merry Easter-days. Greetings from Germany Bockpeterteuto (talk) 14:49, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Talk page - article "White Lady"
editI must say, that I am wondering, what is happening around the article "White Lady". There seem to me to exist many contradictions, that I consider to be explained to me. Well sourced contributions are deleted, others without any cite - and held in bad english - seem to exist for a very long time. There is asked for contributions, but general deletes are announced. Contributions to the talk page are strictly interdicted - so asking questions or clearing up any misunderstandings or discussing aspects of the contents, as they could be possibly needed, seems to me to be made nearly impossible. I feel deterred, to do any further workouts. I intended to add a new paragraph, but I think it is better to save the effort. This remembered me to the experiences more than 10 yrs. ago, many german authors made them abandon wikipedia, that whole articles or chapters disappeared without any commentaries or advices or the rejection was done in very rough language. I hope I did not wake up sleeping dogs, but there remain questions and this article will be given up for/by myself.--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 10:30, 2 April 2021 (UTC) P.S.: I hope, that no one will get me wrong and I do not claim to be a native speaker of the english language and so some corrections might be very helpful, but for example mentioning, that a noblemen decided to wed another princess because he was terrified of his bride to be committing a murder, does not violate any principle of objectiveness or neutrality by my opinion. It is a description of a matter of fact, or otherwise there is mentioned, that there is a tale about that. So I do not mind anyone to help me finding more adaquate was of expressing something, but by my opinion deleting contents an author made the effort to find out aspects to improve an article should be done more carefully. I think, a good article is not only a collection of sources. Wishing the best and happy Ester days Bockpeterteuto (talk) 12:20, 2 April 2021 (UTC) PPS.: Maybe I will visit your tearoom and ask something, but doing a job 8h under a mask, that nearly makes me suffocate, is very exhausting and regulates down any mood to communicate. I reaaly have to apologize for those words and this is meant seriously. Stay healtyBockpeterteuto (talk) 12:20, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
St Mary's Church, Berry Pomeroy
editSorry about the edit conflicts - that must have been with me. Please don't give up - it's because of you that I was inspired to do the bit of expansion I did, and I'm sure the article would benefit further from your attention. I've added several incoming links to it from articles where it is mentioned, these should encourage more people to read about the church. If there's anything I can do to help then please do ask - I'll watchlist this page so you can reply here and I will see it. All the best, DuncanHill (talk) 14:50, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- One thing you may find useful - prepare your additions at User:Bockpeterteuto/sandbox where you can preview them and save them as a "work in progress". When you've got them ready you can cut and paste them into the article. DuncanHill (talk) 15:39, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 28
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Sweet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paul Day. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A bowl of strawberries for you!
editHi thanks for creating Stefano Fabri jr. which I’m just reviewing. When you make use of material on other language Wikipedias it’s important to acknowledge the source. You’ll see I’ve added a translation template to the article’s talk page. You can use this on any future articles as needed. Mccapra (talk) 21:24, 13 November 2021 (UTC) |
- Hello @Mccapra:, I have to thank, using the template is quite a good idea! Thank you and greetings from Germany--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 21:28, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello @Mccapra:, I would like to ask you, if you know anything about pre-existing templates as mentioned above for translations from french or italian articles? Yrs. sincerely and many thanks in advance, greetings from Germany--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 19:02, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- hi yes it’s a simple template you can write yourself each time. I’ll add nowiki markers here so the templates don’t transclude. If you remove the nowikis you’ll see how it renders on screen.
It’s {{ translated | language code | name of article used }}
So for example if you’re using material from the German article on dogs, you write {{translated|de|Hund}}
Good luck Mccapra (talk) 19:19, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello @Mccapra:, thank you very much for this advice. It is very helpful - just what I needed! Yrs. sincerely and many thanks from Germany--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 19:25, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
Ways to improve Wildfire (British band)
editHello, Bockpeterteuto,
Thank you for creating Wildfire (British band).
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Fails WP:MUSICBIO - The Discogs, Metal Music Archives, Spirit of Metal websites are not acceptable or reliable sources. The AllMusic website is just a Discography and doesn't establish the group's notability. YouTube is not an acceptable source either. The Mausoleum Records website is a primary source and therefore not independent.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Dan arndt}}
. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
Dan arndt (talk) 02:34, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Dan arndt:, I have to apologize, but I had difficulties to find out something about Wildfire in Nature or Science. Sometimes there are topics you only can find out something about, if you use popular magazines or informations given by record-labels. But you are invited to feel free to find better sources and insert them, and then you might publish the article again. If you could find something better, I would be looking forward to your message. Up to now this article is yours! Greetings--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 10:20, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have moved the article to Draft:Wildfire (British band), that way you can work on improving it without the threat of it being deleted. I hope that helps. Dan arndt (talk) 11:22, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Dan arndt:, I have deleted this article. There exists an original version of this article at my German page: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Bockpeterteuto/Wildfire_(Band)_%C3%9C - feel free to edit there, and if you find a specialist of Metal-music knowing better sources, you are allowed to draw his attention at this sub-page. Greetings from Germany--Bockpeterteuto (talk) 20:54, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
