The templates I placed on the pages in question (Chackers and Keagull\) both stated the reason I believe they should be deleted - to quote, It is a very short article providing little or no context (CSD A1) - as do the messages on your talk page. I appreciate that you are new, but even so I find it hard to believe that you though these pages would be acceptable on Wikipedia.

In order to help you acclimatise, I have now added a welcome box to your talk page which gives some useful links to get started. However, if you continue to create pages like those (I just saw that both of the ones I have mentioned have been deleted, along with a third you created), then you will be blocked by an administrator before very long. If you intend to contribute meaningfully to Wikipedia, now would be a good time to start doing so.

Any articles about a musician / band / ensemble etc. must meet the notability guidelines in WP:MUSIC. Even if the information in the article can be verified, it does not mean that the subject is automatically notable.

Notability is not inherited. In order to be a valid article, the subject must have achieved a sufficient level of notability of their own accord (in this case, by achieving notability through his own releases rather than by who he hangs out with).

On a somewhat related note, in future could you please sign any comments you make on any talk page? All you need to do is place four tildes (~~~~) after any comments. This makes it easier to follow who said what and when.

Schools

Blair, please dont jump at people. Remember WP:BITE. The idea is to patiently get them to do it right. I've given some advice there, & it would in my opinion not be right to remove the page until the new user has a chance to read it and understand it & act accordingly; therefore I've declined the speedy as the reviewing admin. OK, fair enough. The reason I placed the speedy tag again on the second incarnation of the page was because I was under the impression it was still intended to be a course content page. However, in hindsight this was a bit hasty. Thanks for clearing that up and helping the user to follow the proper procedures. Having seen the real intentions, it now has my full support.

Instead use the {{hangon}} template to notify administrators you are contesting the speedy delete, and then place your reasoning on the articles talk page.

That's a good start, but you need to forward it to the Wikimedia foundation as outlined in WP:COPYREQ. This will allow them to tag the article appropriately so that it won't be deleted again.

I have been a great fan of Mr.getcrunk for years.. And i clearly don't see anything wrong with the page i made for him, i don't know why you want to delete my page when it is sincere and true and there are all kinds of pages with perverted things on them that you can delete. I didn't doubt that it existed. The reason it was deleted was because it doesn't meet the notability criteria; existence does not equal notability. Again, Mr.Z-man has said it better than I could have at the deletion review.

I'm not an administrator, so I personally can't delete the article. However, this is not suitable content for Wikipedia (see WP:NOT, specifically WP:NOT#HOWTO). Hi Blair

Please will you familiarise yourself with the criteria for speedy deletion (WP:CSD) or install WP:TWINKLE which will do all the hard work for you. You should also, as a courtesy, tell people at their talk page when you nominate an article they've created or majorly worked on, for speedy deletion or AfD. Again, TWINKLE can do this. Finally, before going to WP:AIV you need to warn people that their behaviour is unacceptable. The convention is four warnings, which you can shortcut if they're ridiculous vandals or inflammatory (eg racism) --Dweller 09:20, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Can I ask what this is in reference to? I have twinkle installed - have had it for several months now - and think I am reasonably familar with the CSD criteria. Oh, OK. I guess I did forget to notify them the second third time I tagged it - the first two times I did it with twinkle as A7/A1 and they were automatically notified, the secondthird time I put a more 'specialised' reason in with the standard db template to give a more detailed reason for the tagging. Since it wasn't with twinkle they weren't automatically notified.

As for AIV, I gave them the initial warning, User:Superbeecat escalated it to the final warning the next time and reported them. I was going to give them a second level warning at this point but once I saw I'd been beaten I left it alone.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this fact, but I didn't upload the original version; I merely resized it as it was tagged with the {{non-free reduce}} template. At that point it was used on the List of recurring human characters from Futurama page, but it has since been removed. Personally, I have no problem with it being deleted, but I have added this warning to the articles talk page for anyone involved with the article to discuss, and you may wish to follow it up there.

Sorry, but there is no reason to assume that somebody who was looking for the Jurassic Park article would type in Dun dun dun dun du na na na na na naaaaaaaaaaa na na na na na no ne ne na new na na na new instead. I also assume you are referring to the Family Guy episode I Take Thee Quagmire in which Peter hums the Jurassic Park theme; this reference is far too obscure for the redirect to be any use. Besides which, the fact that anyone trying to use it would have to type it in precisely renders it useless.

Please stop creating useless redirects such as this, and instead think about contributing to Wikipedia in a constructive manner. I placed a welcome box on your talk page which contains various useful links to help you in this.

I assume you mean Asylum Championship Wrestling, which I tagged for speedy deletion per CSD A1 (little or no context) ten days ago. As the linked page explains, this was because there was no context within the article. Also, as somebody else pointed out on your talk page, it also failed to meet CSD A7 in that it did not explain why the subject was notable (in fact, this was the reason given by the deleting admin).

If you would like to recreate the article with more detail, feel free to do so. Be warned, however, that the article must meet the notability requirements for inclusion on Wikipedia (specifically the guidelines for organizations and companies) and must be backed up by reliable sources. If this is not the case, it will more than likely be deleted again.

Australian rugby union captains

Hi - I processed your speedy deletion request on this article, and declined it. My reasoning was that they just created the article one minute before you put the speedy template (for no content) on it. OK, I see what you were trying to do. You created a page rather than a category; to fix this I would do the following:

• Go to John Eales
• Click on the redlinked 'Australian rugby union captains' category
• Use the following form to add the parent categories and save it
• Go to Australian rugby union captains and replace the content with {{db-g7}} to alert the administrators that it is no longer needed. Also, tag the User:Archifile/Rugby page with {{db-userreq}} since it won't be needed any more either.
