Hakan Ozkok

Hi Blair. Thank you for your comment about my article about Hakan Ozkok. I have read more about your tutorials and contacted with administrators and revised it. Would you please have a look and tell me what do you think. He is an important person in this region. He has intentions to get into general elections hence there will be need for informaton in this region (very populated though). Please take back your deletion request if you are convinced. There will be more and more edits both me and others doing to improve and provide more information about him. Kind regards, Brian. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brianithaca (talkcontribs) 9:04, 10 August 2007 (UTC).

Blair the page is deleted. Would you plase reply to my previous message. There was links to Goldman Sachs, Gaziantep and Sanko Holding. I thought it was much better than original version. So could you please bring it back? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brianithaca (talkcontribs) 10:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC).
Sorry I didn't reply quicker but I was tired and had gone to bed. For future reference, only administrators can restore deleted pages; your best bet would have been to get in touch with the administrator who deleted it - you can find out who it was via the deletion log.
However, I see the article has been recreated. As it stands, I agree with the comment that SMC89 left on your talk page: its a good start but it really needs to assert the notability of Hakan Ozkok. If you need any further help with doing so feel free to ask; if I get a bit of time today I will have a look around and see what I can add to the article. I have also placed the article on my watchlist so I can keep an eye on any changes and provide any hints etc on how the changes are progressing.
Oh, and in future could you please sign any comments you leave on a talk page by leaving four tildes (~~~~) after your message? Alternatively, there is a link just under the editing box called 'Sign your username' which will do this for you. This makes it much easier to find out who left the message and when.

August 2007

I noticed the message you recently left to User_talk:Jones080. Please remember to try not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. THF 12:50, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

2515 - Ringwood and Fordingbridge Squadron Air Cadets

Excuse me. You have flagged up my page for speady deleation but are failing to reply to me about it. Can you please talk to be about it on the pages talk so i cna make the nessesary ammendmants. Thankyou. Just another random person 13:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I had gone to bed shortly after I tagged the page and didn't see the message until just now. However, the comments Nihiltres left on your talk page sums up quite nicely why it was deleted. It was written very much like an advertisement (one of the major lines that I remember to this end was something like "we will be looking forward to meet you"). If you want it to be included on Wikipedia, it will need to be rewritten so it is factual and verifiable i.e. all major statements are backed up by external resources. If you are going to do this, it might be an idea to try it as a user subpage, e.g. at User:Just another random person/2515 - Ringwood and Fordingbridge Squadron Air Cadets and get someone to check it is acceptable before including it in the main area.
One further thing to note is that there is already a good article at Air Training Corps which describes the activities of the ATC. Additionally, there is a List of ATC squadrons, none of which have their own Wikipedia page. Unless you can prove sufficient notability to justify an article for 2515 squadron, then the article will end up either merged into Air Training Corps or deleted again.

Deletion of New Articles

If people are encouraged to make worthy articles on wikipedia why are they up for deletion as soon as they are put up. Wikipedia requires many people to edit and add to pages, and it surely shouldnt be expected for one user to put every single piece of info on a page. This is somewhat unfair and contradictory

Both articles i started on Lance Garvin and Bruce Fitzhugh are flagged for deletion just as im editing?? Is this not a bit silly?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kronix (talkcontribs) 09:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

re. speedy del. on Jimmy Woode

Greetings Blair Bonnett, Have just pasted hangon template - and tried to justify the creation of an article for Jimmy Woode on the discussion page. Regards, --Technopat 11:30, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

OK. I've removed the speedy delete tag as it seems that it should be possible to assert his notability. Blair - Speak to me 11:40, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanx! --Technopat 12:09, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
