This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Mettaton, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. 廣九直通車 (talk) 04:19, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mettaton. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Favonian (talk) 10:37, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Final warning +1

Seriously, you must focus on improving Draft:Mettaton. Your current approach is highly disruptive and will lead to you being blocked for edit-warring. Favonian (talk) 11:12, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the article Mettaton

edit

Hi Biscay24

I think it is great you want to create the article Mettaton and like previous editors have suggested please work on improving Draft:Mettaton first. This way you can still work on improving the article and once it is ready to become a full article it can easily be moved to Mettaton. Some tips to help with the article is using reliable sources using sites like Wikia are not considered reliable since they are just as easily able to be edited like Wikipedia. If you have any questions about improving and developing an article Wikipedia:Teahouse is a great place to start and ask questions. Another tip would be to look at some other video game characters like Sonic the Hedgehog (character) and seeing how the article is laid out. But please don't revert the redirect on Mettaton until Draft:Mettaton has been improved to meet the standards of an article. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 11:28, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 11:32, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:

{{unblock|reason=I was not trying to delete or vandalise someone else's work, I was working hard on a new article on wikipedia, and bots kept deleting it for reasons I do not know so I was merely trying to restore my own work. I realise now that I was given constructive feedback on how to improve my article, but at the time I could not access it. I did not know that my article was being moved to drafts, I thought that it had been destroyed, and I became annoyed, and reacted rashly. I am sorry. In future I will pay attention to feedback, move forward in a constructively and not engage in edit wars. Please could I have my account unblocked so that I can finish my article? #126;~~~}}.

Some help and advice

edit

Hi Biscay24, I know you want your block removed but I'm not an administrator and can't make that decision. To request an unblock, before you edit your talk page, please copy the shaded grey section in the block notification that starts with {{unblock| all the way to }}. Then edit your talk page and paste all of that below your block notice that will generate a message alerting the admins that your requesting an unblock. The way your doing it now isn't sending the message.

Your block is only temporary and will be up in less than 48 hours while your account is blocked you can still work on Draft:Mettaton. I would recommend looking for reliable sources and avoid using sites like Wikia since user generated sites like that are not considered reliable. Since this is a video game related article I recommend reading Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources this page is a great source of information about where to find good reliable sources for use in Wikipedia. You can gather all the sources while your account is blocked and save them to document. When your account is unblocked you can incorporate those sources into Draft:Mettaton.

Another page to read while your account is blocked is Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Video games#For characters. This page will give you a layout you can use for Draft:Mettaton and is an established Manual of Style for video game related articles. One other vital component part of an article and to ensure it won't be redirected or deleted in the future is notability. Articles that don't have information about how notable a character is outside of their respective game generally tends to get redirected. I recommend reading up on general notability guidelines as well to become more familiar. I would also recommend taking a look at some other video game articles like Sonic the Hedgehog (character) or Ermac and seeing how they are laid out which can help with Draft:Mettaton. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 23:34, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Alucard 16 :) Have I copied it to the right place? Also, I still can't edit my draft, is there a way to lift this?

Request reason:

I was not trying to delete or vandalise someone else's work, I was working on a new article on wikipedia, and bots kept deleting it for reasons I did not know at the time. I was merely trying to restore my own work. I realise now that I was given constructive feedback on how to improve my article, but at the time I could not access it. I did not know that my article was being moved to drafts, I thought that it had been destroyed, and I became annoyed, and reacted rashly. I am sorry. Biscay24 (talk) 09:23, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You say bots kept on deleting your edits. That's simply not the case. Other editors, not bots, saw your contributions were inappropriate and removed them. As you don't yet properly understand what happened, there are no grounds for lifting your block. Yamla (talk) 11:55, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
