Looks like the article is coming together. It's good that your references are from good sources. May want to use unesco or cpj as a reference. Mvwold (talk) 19:55, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Good start/ Two spellings/ Situation

edit

Bigsqhunter, You have a good start. I fixed the formatting on your first page. I also listed an alternative spelling of his name. Your search is a little more difficult because you should search for the event without the reporter, too.

I was thinking something was wrong when you found a CPJ citation but not an RSF citation. That's a dead give away that there is an alterntive spelling of a name. You may want to search "Wael" and "Copt" or "Coptic" to avoid the two last names. Likewise, you should search for the event, which took place in Maspero, or an area in Cairo., and the event killed 23 people and injured 174 people. Do another Google search! Put your results on your front page and not the talk. I look forward to seeing your final results. Crtew (talk) 02:31, 6 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

edit

I pasted the reflinks tool to your User page. Notice that the New York Times article doesn't mention your journalist's name but is highly relevant! Crtew (talk) 02:41, 6 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

edit

Bigsqhunter, It looks as if there are multiple spellings and perhaps even a variation in the name that may be complicating your search and not picking everything up. Be careful with the Lexis Nexis search. There are many issues in this story -- the protest, the Coptic religion and minority, the Arab Spring, and the killings of a journalist and blogger. Once you're done with the search, run the reflinks tool.Crtew (talk) 17:06, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
