jsut to say hello edit

Hi sir, i don't know why but for past 2-3 weeks i was not able to talk page and niether your userpage. i think there was some error on your page (HTTP 500). well now can easily access it. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk · contribs) 11:29, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great work indeed! --Bhadani (talk) 11:34, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
thanyou sir. well yes i should used my head and should either send you an e-mail.thanks Sushant gupta (talk · contribs) 11:58, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Using head hahha. Please don't worry - I also fail to use my head! --Bhadani (talk) 12:00, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

what i was willing to ask you was why don't you be a part of wikimedia foundation. kindly see Wikimedia:Job openings. also see the current staff and the former staff. you must be knowing about all this. what i actually mean to say is that why don't you try this out. Sushant gupta (talk · contribs) 12:04, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the information. But, I am already employed in a bank: [1], and i have many other real life commitments. Moreover, editing wikipedia as a volunteer is really great! --Bhadani (talk) 12:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
sir, should i start a new page here on wikipedia namely- Gangadhar Bhadani. i mean you are quite a famous personality. Sushant gupta (talk · contribs) 12:14, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh. Please never do that and please do not start any such page - it is wrong to do so. Please never think of starting any page in my name as a simple reporting in a newspaper does not satisfy notability guidelines. Please listen to me and please do not try to create any page about me. Thank you. --Bhadani (talk) 12:18, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
okay i do understand sir. but i found your links many where like on flickr, hindu (for what you gave me the link) and on many google results. i never said a featured article but a stub only. but since you are not in favour of this i am extreamly sorry. Sushant gupta (talk · contribs) 12:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
However, you may surely see my photographs Bhadani. --Bhadani (talk) 12:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Nothing to be sorry about. It is very fine. --Bhadani (talk) 12:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

you should have helped me when rama's arrow was presecuting me. I'm saddened that u did not. even gandhi would not allow such an injustice.--D-Boy 08:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why "even" Gandhi ? Tintin 08:07, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I myself feel highly saddened at the developments. My faith in a number of wikipedians stand totally shattered, and I feel ashamed that I am a wikipedian. I may change my opinion about myself over a period of time, but I am not sure. It looks highly ridiculous that the system allows many trolls and useless editors who create accounts to damage the pages, poison the contents, and pollute the envioronment while an an elaborate system exists to examine the conduct of established editors. Jumbo told that Adminship is not a big deal but it seems it is really a big deal! My comments are without any prejudice to anyone and are not directed ato particular users. --Bhadani (talk) 14:22, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

for record --Bhadani (talk) 14:21, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I will explain it briefly - any of the administrator may indefinitely block me if he/ she wishes to do so, and I shall be required to waste my time to get the block lifted while that administrator and his friends here shall have the last laugh! I do not want to be part of a system (wikipedia) which is so fragile and is culpable to such misuse by an administrator. I had understood this reality during my first year of life here, and you will find that after that most of my edits have been cosmetic in nature! --Bhadani (talk) 14:32, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kichak edit

Hi, in the Kichak article the sanskrit spells <Kachik> instead of <Keechak>. I could not figure out how to transliterate into sanskrit. Would you please change it? I dropped a note to User:Dangerous-Boy but later realized that he's on a wikibreak. Thanks. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:24, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

If I edit any page, some one may indefintely block me as the User:Dangerous-Boy was blocked. I am afraid to edit wikipedia. Please request some other editor. Thanks for your message. --Bhadani (talk) 19:32, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry about all that. Thanks anyway :), I'll ask someone else. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:49, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
It is fine - by the time you are able to search some one, most of them may have been indefinitely blocked. Please do not ask any one to touch any thing on wikiepedia related to India and Hinduism as their contents are owned and maintained by a select group of editors. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 19:54, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
If you have a concern about folks with ownership issues, bring it to WP:AN/I if talking to them doesn't help. If you think there's a massive administrator conspiracy, WP:AN/I or WP:RFC should hear about it. - CHAIRBOY () 20:05, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I thank you for your suggestions and am obliged to you. However, by taking such foolish steps, I do not want to be blocked. It is a matter of faith in the system of wikipedia and wikipedians. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 02:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

dboys comments edit

Hi Bhadani. I see that Dboy has left a very senti note in order to blackmail you by playing on your personal beliefs[2]. Dont worry about him , that is his usual habit. He has tried it thrice with me, unsucessfully. --Deepak D'Souza (talkcontribs) 07:36, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is fine with me. Generally, I am not swayed by sentiments. Anyway, thanks for your kind note. --Bhadani (talk) 12:55, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Moreover, while logged on to wikipedia, I keep my personal beliefs far away, and I am least infatuated with any particular set of beliefs. --Bhadani (talk) 13:02, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Billion edit

Hello Bhadani. You may remeber me it is The Random Editor. They are discussing Whether or not to make billion a redirect page to 1000000000 (number). I foolishly made an edit without discussing the subject, and it was reverted. I would like to hear your opinion on the matter, whatever it may be. Thanks. --Random Say it here! 16:23, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Random. I surely remember you, and thanks for coming to my page. I find that the discussion is perhaps over: Talk:1000000000 (number). However, in my opinion, a page with the name Billion (like the Million) appears to be a better choice and less confusing to all concerned. --Bhadani (talk) 17:26, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Choice in Chaos, is this the name of ur book? When it is going to be published? I am very much excited to see ur book. All the best. Amartyabag TALK2ME 14:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your interest and encouragement. I will surely late you know. It is in the preliminary state, and I am gradually working on the manuscripts. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 18:49, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

I am sorry for the late response. I would like to thank you for the support. I do not intend to run for sysop access immediately or in near future. I think I will take a break here for a while. I will be helping the new users in Hindi and Nepali wikipedia as well as share some of the bot skills with Marathi and Bengali, improve the quality of Nepal Bhasa, look after Bishnupriya Manipuri (which has gone orphan after its only contributor Usingha has been away for a while) and try to improve Panjabi, Gujrati(which has finally developed a good community), Assamese, Oriya and Bhojpuri, try to develop a frontpage for Sanskrit and most probably enable multiscript in Kashmiri, Romani and maybe Pali. Also, Tamil needs a phonetic transliterator and most improtantly these wikipediae need to co-ordinate with each other. Sorry abt the nonsense that I wrote, but you can contact me in any of the south asian wikipediae if I can be of any help. There is a lot that needs to be done there. Thanks again. --Eukesh 17:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great my dear friend. I still have a fond belief that someday English Wikipedia will recognize your commitment to the Project, and it will be able to utilize your knowledge (of South Asia-related topics for management of contents here. --Bhadani (talk) 18:47, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

PD edit

Yes those banknotes are PD. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 16:58, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for clarifications. And, nice to see you on my talk page - protected though :) - --Bhadani (talk) 17:02, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Are you sure, you don't want to semi-protect it? That way anons and newly-created users can't edit but established and respectable users can. GizzaChat © 07:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your advice. In fact, I am almost away from wikipedia for the time being - I shall change the level of protection after few weeks. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 13:44, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Life here edit

thank you edit

Bhadaniji - thank you first for un-protecting your page. For close to 2 years, you have been my role-model, if not of those who come into contact with you here. As evidenced from your participation with Jimbo in Chennai and Bangalore, you are a clear leader of the Indian Wikipedia community. Your compassionate words of encouragement did much to resuscitate my dying interest in Wikipedia. I am in your debt for life - and certainly, I hope to visit Chennai/Pondicherry early next year and I will love to meet you and Sundarbhai. If you visit the States and come to the DC area, please do let me know so we can meet. You are a guru to so many Wikipedians and a pillar of strength and hope for Wikipedia. You have to assume much pain and burdens but your strength gives hope to us all. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 15:44, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Congrats on your choice to be around.

And to you, mere dost! :) edit

And blessings to my beloved Bhadani :) In moments like this, I realize how much I missed you all these months, my friend. May all the clouds that darken the sky of you and our Indian friends scatter soon, and let the bright sun of hope and peace shin upon you like you deserve. Love you! :) Phaedriel - 18:02, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Sir Nick edit

Bhadaniji, I never had a desire to bring him into this. Although we have had some differences, he co-nominated me for adminship. It was his complicity, his endorsement of Kelkar's sockpuppetry and his attempt to recruit meatpuppets to help Kelkar that has landed him in the cooler. And the evidence in question is HIS written word. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 20:11, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Did you notice that he is now criticizing me for stuff that he never previously opened his mouth about, that were supported by consensus on ANI and ArbCom? Doesn't this sound like a desperate, guilty man's game? Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 20:13, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
And I also have transcripts of one-on-one conversations with him dating back one year, when he repeatedly haggled for my support for his RfA plans, brazenly told me that "politics" is most important on Wikipedia and asked me to lobby others to support his RfA. This is not a one-off pattern - user:Moe Epsilon exposed a similar solicitation e-mail where Nick tried to gather support against user:Cyde and to un-block user:Karmafist. With all this precedence, is it really a surprise that he supported Hkelkar's sockpuppetry? Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 20:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

My dear Niravjee. I respect your judgment, and there is nothing personal about my comments - I hold you in high regard. However, I feel that he was "trapped" in the cooler for no fault of him - though I may be off the tangent slightly. This is my general impression. Currently, the matter is in the hands of the ArbCom, and I have full and unflinching faith in the ArbCom. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 20:23, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trapped? That's hilarious - nobody who is "trapped" willyfully leaks DaGizza's investigative report to AMbroodEY in order to tip-off and protect D-Boy and Baka. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 20:24, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have never posted on Hindu Unity. I cant believe you accuse me of that, you can even ask your acolytes if I did or not. Nor am I a fan of maleabroad as Abecedare (talk · contribs) can vouch for.Bakaman 20:40, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Let us change the topic for a change. How is weather in Washington DC area. Here, in Pondicherry, now called Puducherry, the cool silky sea breeze is slightly blowing enveloping me with renewed energy but it is almost 2 am, and I shall go to a week-end sleep :) Wishing you a nice week end. --Bhadani (talk) 20:32, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mahatma Gandhi Round Table Conference 1931.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mahatma Gandhi Round Table Conference 1931.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 09:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes. BOT - you are always right. However, I up-dated the licensing tag. --Bhadani (talk) 14:13, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Why did i get blocked for such a short time when my edits were obviously vandalism and i didn't show any sign of stopping or being remorsful? if i owned wikipedia, the first thing i would do is automatically block any person who vandalises a page indefinitly. I would have to make an exception for shared IPs... maybe i would make it that everyone had to make an account with a verified email address before making any edits to pages (except for talk pages) 202.156.66.110 09:00, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

You were blocked for 3 hours as I wanted you to understand that there is always a possibility to be blocked. Moreover, sometime, even intelligent people do vandalize pages, and blocking their IPs indefinitely may result into loss of potential editors. I hope that you are an intelligent person capable of doing better things on wikipedia. --Bhadani (talk) 17:22, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
