  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Rombouts, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. and also Francis Rombouts  Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:25, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I put a "underconstruction" template at the top of the page (delete it when you are finished). It is clear you are still re-phrasing the article. Without it, it could be seen as a "poor" page and might be deleted before you finish. Good luck in finishing it off (just be careful with the WP:COI - there's a lot of editors out the who will soon cut it back if it gets rather non-neutral)  Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:29, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, your article was deleted. It appeared to be not much more than cut-and-pastes of other wikipedia articles. This does not mean the subject matter is not notable, and I encourage you to create a new version, perhaps in your own userspace, but avoid cutting and pasting from other sources. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you for your feedback. Plastikspork (talk) 22:46, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

The matter is that I had put together these different Wikipedia articles because for me it is evident that they are connected. I am doing research already 15 years and on my site www.familierombouts.nl there thousands of Rombouts back to 1500. Now in my direct line and side branches there are many priests and nuns, founders of Churches, Schools, Colleges, Leaders of convents, all over the world, exactly same as the Wikipedia articles starting at ca 1100. There are 2 problems: articles must be neutral on Wikipedia, that I tried to be, therefore I didnot add much text but used mostly the text from the other Wikipedia pages. On purpose. Besides what can one rewrite on facts ? Ronhjones pointed me also to the non-neutral issue. Genealogy = neutral, that is the base of Genealogy. My request is to give me back the article (Rombouts) and I can look at it again in my own userspace or sandbox (didnot know that), but please also consider my above notes. Thank you.

I put your last version in User:Bgajrombouts/Rombouts. It appears that another author has recreated Rombouts as a disambiguation page. I would encourage you to add names of other famous Rombouts to that page, if there are verifiable reliable sources. I checked out your familierombouts site and it appears you have compiled an impressive list. Thank you for your efforts. Plastikspork (talk) 06:55, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
I reverted your most recent edits to Rombouts, as I believe the information would be better included in Saint Rumbold. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 00:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

In response to your latest query, I am not an administrator on the Dutch Language Wikipedia, so there really isn't anything I can do about the deletion. I would suggest you contact the person who deleted the article. Sorry about your troubles. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 14:07, 7 September 2009 (UTC) Dear Plastikspork, sorry for my late reply, I have moved to Alghero Sardegna, Italia, where I live now, my ancestors were here as well , so I am a bit at home. Understand you cannot interfere in Dutch Wikipedia. So I keep myself to the English version which is more important ! Kind regards, www.benrombouts.nlReply
