Hi Beth, thanks for adding the Personal life section on Marilynne Robinson! Just wanted to let you know why I edited part of it. Wikipedia strives to keep an encyclopedic tone at all times. As such, I removed "with whom she is close" from the comment about her children, as it is neither formal, nor timeless. In other words, you wouldn't see this phrase used in a printed encyclopedia. Daily Mail as a source

Sadly this newspaper has a history of fabricating interview quotes, so should never be used for biographical claims, even if they appear to be using direct quotes from the subject. See WP:DAILYMAIL for more background on that. --Lord Belbury (talk) 08:08, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Thank you, I appreciate the information, Lord Belbury. I read through the link you provided and found it intriguing and helpful!

Daily Mail is certainly a mixed bag of writers and content. There have been issues with fake quotes in celebrity gossip articles with typical tabloid journalist rhetoric -- "sources close to the family" or "family friend" (eg. the Amal Alamuddin-Clooney article).

There are other Daily Mail writers who do full interviews. I have been surprised to find some exclusive, interviews with public figures.

I did find this on the discussion link you provided:

"Nothing negative, contentious, or potentially libelous or in any way scandalous should be sourced to the DM (unless it is a direct quote from an interview)"

I didn't realize the tabloid Daily Mirror (sourced for Jay Blades) was of a higher caliber then Daily Mail. I imagine seriously scrutinizing each individual case would be a key factor in using any source.

Yiannopolous

Hello. As I hope you have noticed, Milo Yiannopoulos is under a one revert per 24 hours restriction. Do not restore your proposed content until you have consensus. Based on past discussions, the significance of Yiannopoulos' books should be demonstrated by coverage in reliable, independent sources. Publication info isn't sufficient. I did not realize updating a source for a deleted entry was considered reverting an entry.

Yiannopoulos is a devolving character. Out of curiosity I occasionally do a bit of digging to find the latest page in his increasingly obscure life. I discovered this latest book on all major book seller platforms and listed on non-commercial publication websites. There are negligible articles about the book itself. From the reader reviews it seems to be a disorganized slap-dash affair. As such, it seemed to play a part in mapping the trajectory of his post-deplatforming life.

Section format

Hi, I noticed that in several articles, you used bold format to create pseudo-headings. Please don't do that. If you want to create a subheading within a section, use one additional equal sign (=) on either side of the subheading than there are for the parent heading. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Your earlier comment, "details do not belong on the lead!" was helpful.

Originally, I mistakenly thought the Wikipedia article did not cover the information I added, since I neglected to look under "Release." I had done my own research and then added this information to the lead. Sorry this was disruptive!

Later I tried to add some of my findings (summary info: eight episodes) but but did not all (Wednesdays 12:01 am EST). Within my wording ("subsequent" rather than "new" episodes) I wanted to emphasize the eight episodes were complete, with no new ones being filmed. Some readers might wrongly assume a miniseries would be filming for next season. (For what it's worth, I just also found the episode running time is 43–55 minutes).

At the least it would be helpful to include that this is an eight episode miniseries in the lead. I'll be leaving the article to you and others and move.
