If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- 168.1.65.197 is allocated to SoftLayer. If you're using privacy-enhancing or security extensions in your browser, you should try turning them off. They may be routing your traffic through some service designed to anonymize it. Another possibility is that you're editing from work. Your employer may be rerouting traffic for various reasons, such as content filtering. If you're editing from a country where Wikipedia has been banned, you can apply for IP block exemption. - If what you say is true, then please try and edit a page, other than this one. You should be able to edit now.—CYBERPOWER (Around) 02:12, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- Cyberpower678, This is very likely due to a cookie block, which is a part of the autoblocker. If you attempted to edit while blocked, it can set a cookie - which will block your next attempts as well. I attempted to raise this with the devs, but was told it was expected behavior / working as intended.
- So - as long as you haven't attempted to edit via your VPN/protection in 24 hours, you should be able to edit now. Otherwise, clearing cookies for en.wikipedia.org should solve the problem, and allow you to edit. SQLQuery me! 18:04, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- It appears that this editor has edited mainspace since the unblock request - I suggest closing the request above at this point. SQLQuery me! 03:58, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
