February 2024 edit

Hello, I'm Skitash. I noticed that you recently removed content from First Barbary War without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hello @Skitash! Im pretty sure I left a paragraph in the edit summary explaining why I made the edit, just thought I would let you know. Thanks! Baqiyah (talk) 19:07, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to List of wars involving Libya. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's core content policies before you continue editing. Can you explain to me why it is incorrect? The emirates I listed are Emirates that originated in modern day Libya, and the 2 Senussi-Ottoman battles are battles available on wikipedia you can see for yourself. Why revert them? Baqiyah (talk) 01:37, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's unsourced and these are not predecessor states of Libya just because they're medieval factions that happen to occupy areas in what is now Libya. This is WP:OR, which is one of the core content policies I linked to you above. At most, if you want to make an argument for including anything like that again, please make your case on the talk page and wait to see if a consensus of editors agrees. R Prazeres (talk) 01:45, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, makes sense. What about the Senussi-Ottoman battles I provided? The Battle of Derna (1912) and the Battle of Tobruk (1911). Baqiyah (talk) 01:51, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Those aren't wars. In fact, as the maintenance template at the top of the article indicates, there are a bunch of "battles" in that list which should be removed. R Prazeres (talk) 02:06, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Admin Help edit

Recently, I had made an edit on the Libyan Civil War (2011) article, in which I had added in nations that were in support of Maummer Gaddafi. All of the nations that I provided were sourced with reliable sources and proved that these nations did in fact support the Gaddafi Regime. However, Abhishek0831996 reverted the edits, claiming that they were "unreliable" and what not. In order to not engage in an edit war, I was wondering if someone else could chime in and express their opinion. The sources provided can be found on this version of the article → https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Libyan_civil_war_(2011)&oldid=1206915651

Abhishek0831996 and I's discussion can be found on the Libyan Civil War (2011) talk page. Baqiyah (talk) 00:57, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Al-Ghiran Brigade edit

Hi, I see the article you've recently created uses a number of citations to youtube videos. These are not reliable. Do you have better citations for the information? Else, it will have to be removed. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 15:40, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have a couple, I will put them in as soon as possible. Thanks for letting me know! Baqiyah (talk) 15:44, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

March 2024 edit

May I ask what this is about @Drmies? How did I violate policy? Baqiyah (talk) 14:36, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh! That's easy: you can only have one account, and if your account gets blocked, in this case User:Yousefsw07, and you start a new one (and continue the same disruption), then you broke the rule! Now, Yamla said a mean, mean thing in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yousefsw07/Archive: "Honestly, Yousefsw07 is so bad at this that it makes it easy to knock these down". I don't disagree, but I do think you did a pretty decent job with Misrata Military Council, which is much better than the first version you wrote up, under that Faze TK account I believe. But hey, the rules are the rules. If you could stop that awful itch and not make any new accounts, and not edit, not even as an IP, for six whole months, then you can ask to be unblocked per WP:OFFER. But you'd have to promise also not to edit war, like you did with the first account. Drmies (talk) 15:27, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Baqiyah aka Yousefsw07 is now banned under WP:3X for evading block more than 3 times thus he will have to go 6 months without editing Wikipedia at all and then his block appeal will be decided on WP:AN. Abhishek0831996 (talk) 02:22, 17 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Am I allowed to add suggestions under talk pages? Baqiyah (talk) 16:33, 17 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
No you have to avoid editing at all for another 6 months if you want to get unblocked. Abhishek0831996 (talk) 03:10, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
