Moves of user page & talk page

edit
  1. Using your user page as a draft for an article is not the best way to do it: your user sandbox, at User:Asma writes/sandbox is a better place for it.
  2. If for any reason you do move a user page anywhere, please be sure to untick the "Move associated talk page" box, as a user talk page must be kept in place, and not moved.
  3. An article should not have the prefix "Wikipedia:" in its title, as that is used for pages related to maintenance of the encyclopaedia, such as noticeboards and policy documents, rather than for the articles which are the public face of the encyclopaedia. Asma writes, I've moved Wikipedia:HYCM to User:Asma writes/sandbox, as User:JamesBWatson stated above in point 3. Please use Wikipedia's Articles for Creation process when you're ready to have the article moved to the article namespace. However, you will need some independent, reliable sources in the article first. I also suggest you read Wikipedia:Your first article. Chickadee46 talk 02:03, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Possible conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Asma writes. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:03, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
