June 2017 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Folktronica has been reverted.
Your edit here to Folktronica was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://alltheairinmylungs.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/william-orbit-beth-orton.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:59, 17 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Folktronica, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Additionally, please do not make personal attacks toward other editors in your edit summaries.C.Fred (talk) 03:40, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

There isn't any time to add citataions to my edit before the person/persons who keep reverting said article have changed it back so I loose my edits before they are saved. Some facts can be written without citations and left in an article by responsible editors without reverting and basically erasing them. artykmbandmaster. sorry, couldn't find an edit button for your talk page and am not sure if that works anyway, cheers.
You should be adding citations at the same time you're changing the material. Alternately, provide the sources on the article's talk page; then, other editors can evaluate the change and assist you in making it (properly). —C.Fred (talk) 03:59, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your message edit

You want to instead put that in C.Fred's user talk page, not on his user page ;-). I went ahead and removed the edit; let me know if you need help with messaging users, and I'll be glad to do so. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:57, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Never-mind; C.Fred beat me to the removal. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:59, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Folktronica edit

Forums, chat rooms, etc., are wp:selfpublished sources, are not under editorial review, and are not considered wp:reliable sources. Jim1138 (talk) 08:05, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:32, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm IronGargoyle. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Folktronica with this edit that didn't seem very civil, so I removed it. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it’s one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. IronGargoyle (talk) 02:02, 23 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
