Speedy deletion nomination of Gryphon Investors edit

Hello Arsenl2017,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Gryphon Investors for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your Teahouse question edit

No one answered, but with some effort I found this by PrimeHunter in the Teahouse archives, referring to a similar question.

New articles get the noindex tag for 30 days or until they are patrolled by a user with the required user right. noindex tells search engines to not index the page. The page has not been patrolled but is now more than 30 days old so it no longer has the noindex tag. It varies how long it takes search engines to index a page. They only had a few days after noindex was removed and they must visit the page to detect it's no longer noindexed.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:43, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Now this is interesting. I found something by Softlavender on the archive page I was just reading, after I had already posted here. However, this person is not certain of whether the statement is correct. Unless an editor has autopatrolled rights, any new article they create will not be indexed by search engines until it is marked as reviewed by a New Page Patroller, or after 90 days, whichever is sooner.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:05, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
The quoted post by me is from 2 May 2017. The indexing delay was increased from 30 to 90 days around 8 June.[1] The current version of Gryphon Investors is from 11 April‎. This means it allowed indexing from 11 May to 8 June, but not from 8 June to 10 July where it became 90 days old. It's currently indexed by Google. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:29, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
