frustrating vandalism

I see you have run into user User:85.165.193.134. In the past he has edited from other IP's. What do you make of his edits? He is quite diruptive on the sports pages changing the layouts and style although most of his contributions correct but he bucks the consensus and refuses to discuss his edits. From your reverts it seems like he is adding factually incorrect information. Have you figured out his game. Why does he make these types of minor, incoorect changes? Any ideas? David D. (Talk) 16:02, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

  • Yeah, he's been editing several pages related to the band Europe ever since June this year. And every damn time it's old or incorrect information. He keeps claiming that Kee Marcello is the current guitarist in Europe, even though Kee hasn't been in the band since 1992. The worst thing is when this user removed the entire Reunions section of the main Europe article. I have no idea why he keeps doing this... Perhaps he just likes living in the past... Indeed

Hello. I'm MegamanZero, and I welcome you to wikipedia. I wanted to thank you for your corrections regarding the Tekken articles I made-you helped me a bit by putting in those links (I was too lazy..:)) and fixing my spelling mistakes. BTW, how do you think I did on them..? Not bad, I think, considering I made them all in one night. :) Also, which is your favorite game in the series..? I like Tekken tag, personally, its fast, streamlined, and has the best CG movies in my opinion- Tekken 4 didn't quite live up to expectations...-MegamanZero 00:40, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi. Yeah, the articles are really good. Well done. My favorite Tekken right now is Tekken 5. Though I like Tekken 4, I have to agree with you: It was a bit disappointing. - Aphasia83 00:46, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
  • Yes, the graphics were inconsistant-the water in the mall stage was beautiful, but the beach was bland as could be...Also, the characters were much slower, and Byran's power was noticeably reduced from Tekken tag and Tekken 3.-MegamanZero 07:26, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Untagged images

Hello, in the future could you add licence tag on pictures you upload to WIkipedia? They are listed among the images on Wikipedia:Untagged images. I think I tagged all of the Europe (band) albums, but I wasn't sure how to tag the rest of your Europe images maybe you can help and get them tagged. The Europe page looks nice by the way. Thanks! Dustimagic *\o/* (talk/contribs) *\o/* 00:42, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

  • OK, I've tagged the rest of the Europe-related pictures. Thanks for letting me know. — Aphasia83 00:53, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Tekken 5

Hi. You're a tekken fan, and I've been trying to get Tekken 5:Dark Ressurection merged into the Tekken 5 article, since they are, after all, essensially the same game (Tekken 5:DR is a expansion). The conversation can be found here, in case you'd like to put in your two cents. -MegamanZero|Talk 12:23, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Regarding Metal articles

Hi, I've been visiting Wikipedia for a long time, but I've just created an account. I've visited many metal articles and one thing which is of concern is that a vandal by the username User:Leyasu is at large in Wikiworld and is tampering with established articles. Some of the articles are Classic metal, Gothic metal, Glam metal, etc. Since, he has also reverted edits by you, I am informing you that I have reported that user to the administration. Check out this page - Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/3RR. I've also spoken on your behalf. Since he made some comments in the edit summary. The user thinks everything else is POV and just what he himself edits is correct. Also, he sent me a threatening message, that if I do not stop reverting, he will inform administration. I did his work myself. I wonder, why you're not reverting the edits. So, I request you to give testimony at the concerned arbiter's page. Your help would be very much valuable in keeping vandals at bay

Please read this section of the 3RR noticeboard to see the ongoing discussion and proof i have of this users Sockpuppetry and vandalism. Ley Shade 17:51, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey

Nice to see some Europe fans around here. Easy to tell by your nick, I guess same goes for me as well.

TNT albums

Nice work on the TNT albums, they are certainly looking better than a lot of new album pages. However, they would be much better if you could just provide a reference to show where you got your information from. Thanks. J Milburn 20:06, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Seek & Destroy

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Seek & Destroy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use rationale for Image:The Final Countdown single.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:The Final Countdown single.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 12:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Trygve

Hi, again Aphasia! Please see again my question from 07:11, 10 February 2008 (Прон)

Why did you remove trivia from The Final Countdown?

I have the link that says that "The Final Countdown" by Europe was listed at #27 on the list of the 50 Worst Songs Ever according to Blender magazine, yet you removed the trivia! Why? Was it something offensive? --Angeldeb82 (talk) 01:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Like I wrote in my edit summary, I don't think that kind of best / worst lists made by magazines or TV channels belongs in Wikipedia articles. Everyone has their own taste, so those lists are kinda pointless, even if they're made by well-known magazines or TV channels such as Blender and VH1. - Aphasia83 (talk) 02:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Your right its not reliable. I was goin to replace it, but thats the closest thing i came to a reliable source. My point is i couldn't find a reliable source. Maybe you can find it. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 16:23, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay your probably right about these stuff anyway. But do you have a source for The Final Countdown sales number or should i go and try and find a reliable source for it? --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 16:28, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Halfway to Heaven.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Halfway to Heaven.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Song title capitalization

Hi, per MoS, you should write the song according to how the title is displayed on the actual article. See Give In to Me. The general rule is that; "the", "of" and "to" are always lower case unless the article title says otherwise. Thanx for all you hard work on that album, would you be interested in joining the Michael Jackson WikiProject? — Realist2 15:56, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Well it's not very time consuming, you just do what your doing now, you can still join and only make 5 edits a month :-). Anyway, if you change for mind the link is there for you. If you have any questions feel free to message me. — Realist2 16:05, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, "In" isn't usually capitalized but in this song title it has been. It looks ugly though lol. It's usually best to always find the article title to be sure, it's time consuming at first but after a few months you begin to remember them. — Realist2 16:09, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Odd, The Sun only mentions 17 tracks and didn't mention any new material/mega mix. I'm sure there is ment to be 18 tracks included on it. — Realist2 16:55, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Reviews

Hi. Have you had any luck finding reliable reviews of the KoP album ? I looked on Allmusic and Rolling Stone the other day, no luck there. — Realist2 17:25, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I wanted to write a section about the critical reception (probably not well received as they will grumble about it being yet another reissue rather than discussing the music) and then nominate the article for WP:GA. Keep an eye out. — Realist2 19:34, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Clockwise (band)

A tag has been placed on Clockwise (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Clubmarx (talk) 02:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
