removal of speedy deletion tags

edit
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. MidgleyDJ 10:13, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself. If you continue to remove them, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JuJube 10:20, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Raya_Holding conflict of interest?

edit

You have recently created the Raya_Holding article and it appears from your user page that you are "Currently working as a Web developer for [Raya Distribution] one of [Raya Holding] group in Egypt". This would seem to indicate a conflict of interest (see WP:COI) which is discouraged on Wikipedia. In addition, currently, the Raya_Holding article is empty except for one external link to the company's web site, so I've marked the page for speedy deletion with the template {db-empty}

Hey, if you actually want to write an artile about said company, do ot write it as you are now, as it makes it look completely like spam, which is why it's being deleted. You're free to contribute to Wikipedia, but try and do more more contructively, thanks.--Wizardman 16:38, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add advertising

edit

A tag has been placed on Raya Holding, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

This is your last warning. The next time you recreate this article as a copyright violation/advertising spam, you will be blocked from editing. — ERcheck (talk) 16:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do not recreate RayaHolding or Ray Holding. You have been warned against copyright violations and advertising spam. — ERcheck (talk) 16:50, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. Just stop adding the article.Wizardman 05:21, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if my block felt harsh. Keep in mind that because you were taking the information for the company directly from the website, that constitutes a copyright violation, which is against policy. If you wish to make an article on your company, make sure it's notable first, and write it as an encyclopedic article, using the website as a reference or link if needed. When the block expires you're free to try again. That block was actualyl assuming good faith (That and I guess you picked a bad day to try again, every admin is on their heels right now).--Wizardman 06:46, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:RAYA LOGO.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:RAYA LOGO.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. License tagging for Image:Yellowcabs1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Yellowcabs1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:08, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
