Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Kathiawari. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you.   Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Kathiawari.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Per WP:WAR RSTech1 (talk) 06:23, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Chetak (horse). Looks like you have another edit war. Per WP:WAR. If you have a disagreement with another editor, please discuss on the article's Talk Page. I agree with previous editor's revert. Your edits need much improvement. Hello! Aniruddhbhaidhadhal, you are invited to join other new editors and friendly hosts in the Teahouse. It's a good place to meet people, ask questions and learn more about Wikipedia. Please give it a try! I see you've already had one of these, but I hope you'll give this a try now – if you don't stop edit-warring right now, your career as an editor here is likely to come to an end fairly soon. You need help and advice, and Teahouse is a good place to ask for it. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:01, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

kathiawari horse

edit

hello sister i have researched on kathiyawadi horse for 19 years,i am from local area where this breed is found and owning this breed for many years .i am new at wikipedia. i saw that information is not proper and true so i tries to edit it, but i have poor english so i can not express my information properly. so can you help me about this article. you can correct my grammatical mistakes, but please dont delete whole information and do me favour to correct this articles — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aniruddhbhaidhadhal (talkcontribs) 05:51, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I will take this discussion over to your talk page. Montanabw(talk) 23:27, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here are the main problems you are having: 1) Yes, your English ability is a serious problem. It is not the job of other people to fix all your grammatical mistakes. In your case, it is better to post your concerns at the talk pages of the various articles, explaining what you think should be changed. But 2) Your own research is not something we can use on wikipedia; we need the sources YOU used, or if this is your own original research, you can't use Wikipedia as a publishing platform. (Please read No original research). I realize that might be frustrating, particularly in the horse world, where there is a LOT of information still passed along via an oral tradition. But unless you can point to a WRITTEN source (that isn't wikipedia), we can't use your information. I did see that you did include some source materials, but not always with enough information for us to locate or review them ourselves and verify what is written. It is best if we have enough info that a hardcopy book could at least be found in a WorldCat search. So, we do want to have accurate articles, but we are an encyclopedia and we need outside, neutral, third-party sources. Montanabw(talk) 23:36, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Aniruddhbhaidhadhal, I'm posting here based on the message on my talk page. I agree with what Montanabw has posted above. Respectfully, your ability to write in English is limited; it might be best to limit yourself to making proposals on the article's talk pages instead of directly editing the articles for now. My attention was drawn to your edits because you used a source that is a copy of Wikipedia: a "mirror" of our content. We cannot use those as sources. After reviewing the rest of the material, it did not seem to pass our minimum quality standards for prose or for sourcing, and I could not tell what you were trying to write in order to help. I will say that is is very important that you stop re-adding the material for now and limit yourself to the talk page. It looks like you've already been blocked for a short period; if you continue to disrupt the articles, it is likely you will get blocked for longer. Kuru (talk) 13:31, 4 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

thanks for replay, kathiywadi is such rare breed that there are not much source available in English except bobmay gazzetter, kathiyawadi horse source available in only in Indian books which is in its national language. there are many mistakes in article, such as its title "kathiawari" is totally wrong, its name is kathiyawadi, second thing is that only "kathiyawari" should not be used, should use "kathiyawadi horse", because kathiywadi food, kathiyawadi people, kathiyawadi cattle are also found, so we should clear that it is kathiyawadi horse. other most important thing is that bedouin developed arabian horse in same kathiyawadi horse were owned and developed by kathi kshatiya caste, a local rulers. this rulers gave their region name kathiyawad and kathiyawadi horse derives its name from this region. kathi people still owned most of the kathiywadi horse and their contribution and efforts for saving such rare breed is admirable. today this breed is facing many problems of existence, this breed should be given some focus so it can exist in future, so i request you that please help me to catch more attention on this breed— Preceding unsigned comment added by Aniruddhbhaidhadhal (talkcontribs) 02:45, 4 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

The spelling is sourced from multiple English-language sources. We cannot make changes based on anything but reliable, neutral, third party sources. If you could provide a source for "kathiyawadi", t might be different, but as far as I can see, even the FAO doesn't use this name. If there was an article about the people or culture, the titling would be a point. But there isn't. There is an article on Kathiawar, and that's it. You need to show us source material, and if there isn't any, that is something you need to work on somewhere other than wikipedia. Montanabw(talk) 20:07, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Help with Kathiawari

edit

Hi! I see that you still haven't tried to engage in discussion at Talk:Kathiawari; it'd be much more useful for you to do that than to continue posting on the talk-pages of individual editors.

I'd like to ask for your help with two things:

  • do you have, or can you take, any photographs of Kathiawari horses? If so, would you like to upload them here? They must be your own work, not copied from elsewhere, or they will surely be deleted. Some pictures would greatly enhance the article.
  • can you tell me (either here or at Talk:Kathiawari) how the name of the breed – whether "Kathiawari" or "Kathiawadi" – is written in Gujarati? If so, I will add that to the page.

This would be most helpful, thank you.

I see that a couple of other editors, Ishashin007 and Kjp007 have been adding more or less the same sort of content that you have. Just in case those accounts are in some way connected to you, I'm going to ask you to read carefully our rules about using more than one account. That's a matter that is taken seriously here, and can lead to permanent loss of editing privileges. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:56, 4 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

kathiyawadi horse

edit

yes i will provide you photo of kathiyawadi, you can upload it. we call કાઠીયાવાડી (kathiyawadi) in gujarati, we do not call it કાઠીઆવારી (kathiawari), english people face difficulty in speaking "kathiyawadi" so they speak "kathiawari". i will provide information and you can contribute in wikipedia. i will provide information if you want but please display true information. i dont care who contribute in wikipedia but information should be correct is my only purpose. sorry if i have disturbed you in any way. but please write true information.kathiyawari and marwari are descend of arabian horse is totally wrong, because is proved scientifically by friends of marwari and kathiyawari that kathiawari and marwari are not descend of arabian horse.i have genetic map as a proof. most of the source on kathiywadi horse are in gujarati language i can provide it. last and most imporatant thing is why not praise contributor of kathiyawadi horse, kathi darbar(rulers) are the people who are main breeder and owner of this breed and they have given much contribution in preserving pure and refine blood of kathiywadi breed(source;- bombay gazetter volume-8,kathiyawad 1884, Gujarat na kathiywadi asvo(gujarati book written on kathiywadi horse from saurastra university). they love this horse so much that they rarely sold them. bedouin people contributed in arabian horse, rathore contributed in marwari horse in same way kathi darbar contributed in kathiyawadi horse.old british archives, books call this horse "kathi horse" because kathi people were main owner of the horse. sorry for my poor english but i think you will understand — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aniruddhbhaidhadhal (talkcontribs) 03:21, 6 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I've added the Gujarati name to the page. Some things:
  • Wikipedia is based on what is reported in reliable sources. If there's scientific proof that the horse has no Arab blood, where was it published, and by whom? (it doesn't matter what language it is in)
  • Wikipedia is not a soapbox; we don't do "praise" here (in fact, we try very hard indeed to avoid it). Wikipedia content is supposed to be neutral and balanced.
  • Wikipedia is not here to promote anything, not even an endangered horse breed; regardless of how worthy a cause may be, we don't promote it here. If your aim is to "catch more attention on this breed" then I'm afraid you'll need to do that somewhere else (a lot of people use something called "Facebook" for that sort of thing). This isn't the place.
  • Just a word of warning: all articles relating to South Asian social groups (which would of course include Kathi Darbar) are subject to particularly strict rules of behaviour. I'm going to put a formal warning of this below; please don't be alarmed by it (but do take it seriously!).
Please tell me (here is fine) if you manage to upload some photos. That would be great! Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:08, 6 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please sign your talk-page posts

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:44, 6 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
