Hello. A user has reinstated the album cover pics on this article and provided an argument as to why on the artcle's talk page. I've added my comments, but left the images there for now. As you removed the pics, I thought you may want to respond and provide your p.o.v. on removal. Cheers, Gram 23:56, 29 January 2006 (UTC).Reply

I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to unlink it. I'm still quite new on the site and I was searching for the song No One But You but I couldn't find it. So I decided to edit it myself. I'm so sorry, I really had no idea that I did something wrong. And you are right, the right title for the song is No One But You (Only The Good Die Young). I'm sorry, I will search better on the site for an existing article before editing one next time. Arvandor 14:16, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Me3-Michelbites.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 14:19, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Its nice to be accused of "vandalism" when I did nothing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:67.71.80.81 You do know that it is probably pointless to target specific IP addresses, right? Many people have probably had that IP at one point.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.71.80.81 (talk • contribs) 20:46, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Chinese_democracy.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 10:19, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

thanks for the mail. I have copied and pasted the response from the national gallery onto the image page, but i dont really understand (a) what their respnse means, as it simply repeats their first repsonse before I submitted a form (which I like to think means they have agreed!) (b) I also dont understand how the whold licensing thing works! If you could advise/help me then I would be very grateful. --Totalthinker 23:10, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi SoothingR. I've just added a question to your RfA (number 4); I thought I should let you know about it in case you didn't notice it on your RfA page. Thanks, --Aaron 20:51, 11 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
I proposed splitting Wild Dances because it's the name of a song and and album. The entry currently explains this and is listed under the categories 'Pop songs' and 'Pop albums', among others. It deserves two entries the way that "A Hard Day's Night" deserves three entries -- it's a song, an album, and a film. :-) Mattbrundage 16:39, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Perhaps, then, we should rename the entry "Wild Dances (song)" and take out the category "Pop albums". Mattbrundage 16:48, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Out of plain curiosity; you nominated this page for deletion, but you stated yourself that a {{move to Wikisource}} is probably the best option. Why didn't you do that instead? simple. i didn't know about {{Move to Wikisource}} :). BL Lacertae - kiss the lizard 05:05, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for leaving the message. I uploaded that one when I still didn't really know what to look out for. So, for instance, I didn't realize that the original size image was already in the Commons (the copyright is {{PD-user-wikimedia|Eschweiler|DE}}. Question, I use a lot of pictures from the German wiki pages. If they don't show in the commons there I upload them to the commons and put a note in the description field as to where I got it from and what the German page says it's copyright status is. If this is not what I need to to, please let me know. Thanks. --Mmounties 13:21, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging for Image:Wilska.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wilska.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below).
If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. HI SoothingR... Remember I left you a message about user 24.81... (that person...sorry, I forgot to ask him what his IP address was) Anyways, I had a talk with him this morning and I told him to stop making useless edits, but I don't know if he'll listen to me. Hello. This is concerning the Mega Man Legends related-articles. I moved the Trivia portion from Mega Man Legends (Video game) to the general Mega Man Legends article because the "Travia" part was concerning and discussing the whole series in general instead of specifically discussing about Mega Man Legends (Video game). I don't know if you personally played the games yourself, but if you have you would probably understand. 67.101.100.70 02:16 (Pacific Time), 16 February 2006 (UTC)

The copyright issue of the series of geographical articles I posted (including the 'Kresna Gully' one) has been duly settled according to Wikipedia rules and procedure. Incidentally, the texts in question ARE written in my own words. As for images I haven't uploaded any yet; if I do it would be pictures of my own copyright with an appropriate license provided. - Hi SoothingR. If you're feeling keen I'm in the middle of a rather long process to copyedit/wikify the batch of article contributed by User:Apcbg. In that form they're not perfect, but given the quantity of them, I think its a good first pass. Feel free to help out! Kcordina 09:18, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

HI SOOTHINGR. IT'S ME AGAIN. JUST TELLING YOU THAT THE "ANON" PHONED ME LAST NIGHT AND SAID THAT IF YOU DO BLOCK HIM, HE ONLY WANTS TO BE BLOCKED FOR ONE DAY, BUT HE SAID THAT HE'LL MAKE A DEAL WITH YOU. HE SAID THAT IF YOU ONLY BLOCK HIM FOR ONE DAY INSTEAD OF THE EXTENDED BLOCK, HE SAID THAT HE'LL NEVER VANDALISE WIKIPEDIA FOR A MONTH. FAIR ENOUGH? I DON'T REALLY AGREE, BECAUSE AFTER THAT MONTH, HE'LL START VANDALISING WIKIPEDIA BIG TIME. BUT, IT'S YOUR CHOICE. ALSO, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers! -- Cecropia 20:09, 18 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please avoid editing the fair use tagged image pages [1] as it will delay their appearence on the live report. --Gmaxwell 00:37, 20 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Alright, I usually don't do this..but since your talkpage kindly requests to keep the discussion in one place, I'm replying here. The reason why I did that change was because - as I stated before - the category was getting really, really big and was causing one hell of a mess to editors who were trying to overview everything. This resulted in many images remaining on the Wikimedia servers long after they should have been deleted. As this system seems to work great for images without a source of license, I thought that this change could speed up the process of deleting orphaned fairuse images as well, in order to prevent the creation of a backlog. I didn't know about the software/server issues that could potentially hit Wikipedia.
- Also, I wasn't aware of the existence of that tool. It looks like that would be more useful than categories, so I'm not gonna bother myself with thoughts of reverting your changes. Thanks for the notification and I sincerely apoligize. Everything was done in the best faith.SoothingR 06:42, 20 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
