Help me! edit

Please help me with formatting the citations in my article. Looks like I may have made some errors with dates? Also, this entire process is not totally clear to me -- will someone review my draft and upload it to Wikipedia if it's deemed acceptable?

Thank you!

Alisonwoods13 (talk) 02:36, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

You were throwing errors on the dates because they need to be in the format day Month Year (e.g. 27 October 2016). The "title=" errors are because you have not added a |title= parameter to the {{cite web}} template. Check out WP:REFB (in particular Section 3.1) for more about references. I have added a draft submission notice at the top of the page, so when you feel the page is ready for submission you can click the "submit your draft" button. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 02:59, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

Please help me with adding titles to my citations from websites. I seem to have done something terribly wrong as I tried to simply delete a citation that was flagged for lack of title and use the template to replace with one that would have a field for title (title should be "Artist biography"). The flagged citation in question is from the website of the gallery that represents the artist. There is another similar citation later in the article, which I would like to title "Artist CV" (the source is the artist's website).

Thank you for your help. This is all very new to me. I can write, but this stuff ... not so much.

I have fixed the immediate issues. WP:Referencing for beginners and Template:Cite web provide some information on how to create and edit refereces. Huon (talk) 04:21, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

Hello. I've finished an article (shown below), and would like to submit it for review and publication on Wikipedia. Let me know if there's anything else I need to do. Thank you!

When you are ready to submit, simply add {{subst:submit}} to the top of your draft and save ("Publish") it.
Before you do that, I suggest that you add references that actually support the claims made in the draft. If your claims are true, Bosman likely meets the criteria for NARTIST, but as it stands, you don't provide references that would let us verify the claims; they are just identifications. Also, we only use a "retrieved date" field when referring to ephemeral sources such as web URLs.
The other thing that appears to be lacking in your draft are Wikilinks to other articles that would make it easier for a reader to explore topics mentioned in the draft. Everything from Hudson Valley to Neo-expressionism are sufficiently uncommon that they could be linked this way (on the other hand, linking "New York" would generally not be done). These links will likely be provided by other editors if your draft were to be accepted as an article and would not be a reason for declining it. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 23:21, 10 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
