Hill City South Dakota

Hi AlexiusHoratius, I am a fellow member of the South Dakota project. I am wondering if you can take a look at the Hill City, South Dakota page and let me know what is good and what should go. I have included every topic that I can think of. Things that still could be done are the adding of picures and the using books as sources - right now I only have websites as sources. Soon I will be ready to tackle bigger projects - like the Black Hills page. Thanks. Lmielke359 00:09, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I've been away for a spell. The Hill City article looks pretty good, certainly much better than other towns in SD. A bit much about Sue maybe, but all in all well done. AlexiusHoratius 02:07, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Socialized medicine

Hail AlexiusHoratius! I see that you are making minor edits at this article to keep it clean. However, I have to advise you that there is a lot of edit disputing going on there right now and it is quite possible that changes you make may simply get reverted, either by me or one of other 3 active editors there. I hope this settles down soon, but it may not do. I don't want you to waste your time. Your help is otherwise appreciated!

PS I have made a complaint about the degree of changes that have been made there, the POVing and the general level of reverting and the editing in of material and switching about which are all in dispute. Not much has happened so far. --Tom (talk) 21:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I did see quite a bit of activity on the article between my edits of last night and today. I'll likely save the minor edits for a calmer day. Regards, AlexiusHoratius (talk) 22:10, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Non-admin rollback

Hi Alexius, I just saw you active on vandalism patrol and thought I'd use you as a guinea-pig for trying out this new feature of giving "rollback" buttons to non-admins. Just have a look at some article history page, you should be seeing that new set of buttons now. Enjoy, and use it wisely! (you know, not to be employed for content dispute and edit warring...) If you don't want it, just give me a shout. -- Fut.Perf. 22:23, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks - it looks like it will be very helpful. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 03:18, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Question?

Alexius, Sorry about that edit, I was just goofing off and didn't intend to deface anything.

However, I would like to know how I may be able to create a wikipedia page. I would like to add/link a page to the WRFD entry for personalities. Let me know when you get the chance... I will be surfing around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.222.102.201 (talk) 03:03, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Note on dates

Just a small note to let you know that while your Wiki-linking of dates, as you did in the Oakland article, is appreciated, it is also appreciated that you recognize national custom and not impose "foreign" (i.e., British) date order on an article about an American city. We like our dates in the form "November 1, 1853", thank you very much. (I wouldn't presume to do the opposite to an article about a British town.) +ILike2BeAnonymous (talk) 05:51, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

The dates are standardized as day/month/year on every FA article I have ever seen, including those on specifically American topics, such as Oklahoma, Minnesota, San Francisco, and Minneapolis. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 05:58, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
It appears you are right that the month/day/year form is also acceptable, so I'll leave it alone. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 06:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[written before edit conflict, pasting in]

I don't know if that's true, but if you say so I'll take your word. Besides, what's "FA" got to do with anything? In any case, the manual of style here says to use the format preferred by the locus of the article subject, and all the American city and other place articles I've seen use our m/d/y standard.
Besides, as you probably know, registered readers who really care can set their preferences so that Wiki-linked dates display the way they like to see them. +ILike2BeAnonymous (talk) 06:07, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Like I said earlier, probably lost in the edit conflict, it looks like you're right about the MOS standard. (I had been editing for the past half year under the mistaken impression the the British form was the only acceptable one.) I brought up the FA articles because I usually look to them as to what the standard is when cleaning up other articles, but you're right, the ultimate standard should be the MOS. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 06:22, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Looking at the matter again, for what it's worth, it looks like all of my arguments were completely incorrect, so consider them retracted. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 20:43, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

No harm, no foul. It's easy to see how you might have gotten that impression. I believe (and of course, this is strictly unproven "original research", so sue me) that there's a disproportionate use of both Brit dates and spellings, not only by UK editors, but by Americans who somehow think that this gives their writing more cachet, more élan, more snob appeal. +ILike2BeAnonymous (talk) 01:35, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Another question (please respond)

Alexius, how did you get that design for your userpage? (please post your response on my talk page) - 224jeff6 (talk) 17:02, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

(Responded on the editor's talk page, per the editor's request.) AlexiusHoratius (talk) 20:00, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Can you help me translate this into wikitext: [[User:224jeff6|<font face="Chiller" size="5.0" font color="MediumBlue">''224jeff6''</font>]]<font color = "Red'>''[[User talk:224jeff6 | Talk]]''</font> (talk)
I want to make it my new signature. If I type it manually, it works fine. But I need to make it Wikitext so I can use the "4 tildes" to write it. If you could help me, that would be really cool of you. (Once again, reply on my talk page.) --

(Responded on the editor's talk page, per the editor's request.) AlexiusHoratius (talk) 21:37, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

But the problem is that I don't know the Wikitext.

Hello

I have noticed you keep deleting my changes to Florida, I have not figured out why. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dwilso (talkcontribs) 13:36, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

I, along with three other editors, have been telling you why many of your recent edits are being reverted on your talk page, here. The reason we have been deleting some of your edits is that you are deleting sourced material and adding unsourced material, and also that you are simply putting a URL in the edit summary, instead of properly citing the data. Again, I would ask you to read WP:CITE. (The last edit that I saw you make to Florida was reverted by someone else; I saw that you had started to put the reference in the article, instead of the edit summary, so I let that one slide.) AlexiusHoratius (talk) 20:45, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

confusion, and your help

Hello, i appreciate your comments, and you seem like a pretty fair a decent guy, could you take a look an article, i've tried contacting user man in black, since he dealt with it before, but he seems to be away, world war z is the article this is the difference between versions [2], any help would be much appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.26.102.165 (talk) 23:43, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm really sorry, but I'm headed out the door just now, I'll try to look at what's been going on when I get back in a few hours. From the initial look of things, the problem may be a bit more complex than one that could be answered in a couple minutes. Again, I'll try to get back to you in several hours. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 23:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
OK, I've looked through what I could on the World War Z article. It looks like you were removing a massive amount, like 80%, of the article. I can't really say what I think about this, since I really don't know the book in question, but from the looks of the talk page, there really wasn't a consensus to do this type of edit yet. For something of this magnitude, you will probably want to write about what you want to do with the article on the talk page, and then wait a week or so. If no one objects after that time, it may be OK to go ahead with the edit to the article, but if other editors do have objections, you can go over them on the talk page and discuss any disagreements there. The thing not to do is just go ahead and make the changes, since it doesn't really appear that people really agree with that approach, at least for the time being. Again, the important thing is to discuss any major edits to the article on the talk page before making them to the article. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 09:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

thank you for the advice, there was consensus for it last year, the problem with the article is it systematically grows with more and more unsourced/original content written by fans and becomes heavily plagaristic of the novel, normally Man in black deals with it but he's on a wikibreak, and i feel a bit out of my depth. oh and is there anyway to delete an image as one editor every year or so tries to add a really poor picture that bears no relation to what is described in the book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.26.104.36 (talk) 21:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

It looks like your more recent edits have stuck, at least for the past couple of days. If editors continue to add unsourced material, simply challenge it on the talk page after putting a 'citation needed' tag on it in the article. The thing about Wikipedia is that if a statement is unsourced, reads like original research, and has been challenged by one or more editors, the burden is then on the people who added the passage to defend it, and most importantly, to source it. If they don't, after a week or so you are well within your rights to remove it. (Technically, you could remove it right away, but you'll run into less opposition if you discuss it first on the talk page.) About the picture, you can't really 'delete', meaning get it off WP for good, if it's just a crappy picture, but you can argue against its inclusion in the article on the talk page. To completely delete it, it would have to be some sort of copyright violation or something. The last bit of advice I have, and you certainly don't have to take it, is to register an account. While editors without accounts have every right to edit Wikipedia, the reality is that accounts have a much easier time of it in many situations. (Most of the trouble that you recently got into in the archiving thing, being accused of vandalism and all, was largely due to the fact that you are editing as an anonymous IP.) Anyway, I'll keep an eye on the World War Z article over the next couple of weeks, and we'll see what happens. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 23:26, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for all the advice, you've been very helpful, and thanks for keeping an eye on the article i appreciate it. I have actually registered for accounts in the past its just i'm terrible at remembering passwords so i just gave up trying to remember as all i was doing was filling wiki with alot of forgetton accounts, and i have no real plan to become an admin, and it seem that alot of account user get bogged down in argument with one another where as i just like adding to the articles. thanks again.

Colorado update

Why did you delete my work.

The edit in question was reverted because you need to discuss the change first on the article's talk page before making it. I think that there could be points made on either side, but it needs to be discussed first. (Another editor has already started a thread on the Colorado talk page about this topic). The information at the bottom of WP:Userpage may help here. Accounts really can't be deleted - only userpages can - and you haven't started yours yet. If you simply want to 'start over', as you only have three edits, then just start a new account and stop editing with the old one. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 01:11, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Bambi

I am referred to you as a possibility in re Bambi problems - at least I think they are problems. If you go to my talk page User talk:Dumarest the last entry will summarize my concern. I am pretty certain that the Bambi page has an amount of incorrect information re the plot, adding parts of Bambi II (such as Ronno), but I am not familiar enough with the originals to adequately edit. Any help or comment would be gladly received. --Dumarest (talk) 15:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but I'm not really too familiar with the plot of the movie, so I wouldn't be able to help out very much. My only edits on the article were to remove obvious vandalism. I would suggest posting something on the talk page of WP:WikiProject Disney - there may be editors there who know more about the plot. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 15:24, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

hey buddy

the reason i put that is cuz some other guy is saying im not citing sources when i am, so dont be freaking out on me.

I'm not "freaking out" on you, you just can't put this[4] into an article. If you are having problems with another user, than you can go to their talk page or to the article's talk page, but you can't argue with someone on an article. As to the information you wanted to add, WP:Cite should help (you can't just say 'according to Newsweek', you have to properly cite it). AlexiusHoratius (talk) 03:36, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey,

I made a climate box for New Jersey in Celsius, if you guys want, you are more than welcome to put Fahrenheit too next to the Celsius in the climate box. But in the fact, we have of course Fahrenheit too.

In case, Metric System is used in all countries except the U.S.A and 2 more counties. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.53.180 (talk) 22:49, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

The climate table looks fine. I'm going to go ahead and add the fahrenheit values. According to the Manual of Style, these should be added too, especially on articles about American topics like New Jersey. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 23:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
My first attempt to add them didn't work, the box became too wide, I'll have to think of something else. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 23:32, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey AlexiusHoratius. Since you've contributed so much to the article about Omaha, I want to invite you to join me in founding Wikipedia:WikiProject Omaha. There is a list of open tasks and a resource list you can contribute to or help with, as well! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to working with you to make WikiProject Omaha a success. • Freechild'sup? 17:13, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:36, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I'll stop in and update my information sometime soon. Good idea, by the way. It looks like it could be a very useful page. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 06:39, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

This was your first addition to the article, (I'm assuming that you were the IP that made that edit before you registered your account) you didn't really cite it properly because you didn't provide a way of verifying the information, but like I said, it looks like you did it right the next time, so I had no issue with that. I was just trying to explain why your information had been removed, as you had sounded confused about it on the article's talk page. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 00:29, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Vandal 142

You probably already know but vandal 142.26.27.50 probably became vandal 142.26.27.159. He/she recently vandalized article BELGIUM.--Buster7 (talk) 05:37, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Looking at the article's history, the most recent vandalism has been taken care of. As neither IP has edited in at least the last couple weeks, I'm not sure what else we can do about it. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 07:01, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU

Hello again. The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. I attempted to translate the data from the old version to the new, but with the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 03:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism

In case you don't notice, you need to take that reverse of vandalism to Norway back to an earlier version by Icewedge 193.90.175.26! Hope that helps... Nortonius (talk) 20:21, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

That's what I did. I didn't just revert one of the vandal's edits, I rolled them back to the last version by 193. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 20:38, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok! I must have jumped in before you'd finished - there were still a couple of odd full stops and a semicolon there when I looked - nice one. Nortonius (talk) 20:45, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if I sounded a bit abrupt with my first response. I think you may have misunderstood the standard edit summary when rollback is used. It reverts all of the vandal's consecutive edits in a single edit, not just one of the vandal's edits. So in this case, my one revert to Norway wiped out all of the vandal's edits and went back to the last version by 193. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 21:15, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Yup, I'm sure you're right - it must've been seeing the odd punctuation plus the words "last edit" in the summary, combined to make me put my foot in it - no worries! :o) Nortonius (talk) 21:35, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

No rush. It's just that I have seen your name come up in a lot of page histories with a lot of very good contributions. You seem to me to be someone who deserves adminship. -- Qaddosh|talk|contribs 04:19, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
OK, I've thought about it for a bit, and I'd rather wait a little while, maybe a few months, before attempting something like this. I do appreciate the thought, though. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 05:22, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
No rush at all. -- Qaddosh|talk|contribs 05:41, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

image problem

Thanks for fixing the image on the article. I tried to fix the tag on teh image, but I'm not sure I've done the right thing - will you look at the Betsy Atkins image and tell me if I've fixed it correctly? Thanks!Orlo1234 (talk) 16:46, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Although I knew how to fix the image, I don't really have that much experience in dealing with attribution of this kind. It looks like you may need to put in a bit more information on who gave you permission, and where you found the photo, if it is off the internet, etc. Someone who knows more about image policy than I do may see your question at WP:New contributor's help page and answer it there in the next day or so, or you could ask someone who has indicated image policy knowledge at WP:Highly Active Users (just click on a continent and then find someone who has checked the 'image' entry in the table). AlexiusHoratius (talk) 16:54, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
You may also want to post the question at WP:MCQ. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 17:02, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Anti-Catholicism

In my opinion the webpage entitled "Anti-Catholicism" is not neutral based, it makes no mention of the IRA murder squads that attempted to ethnically cleanse the protestant people of Ulster. I myself have lost friends and family members and when i edited the page to show the true side of the troubles my input was deleted but yet it is ok for Bloody Sunday to be paraded as the "massacre" of unarmed civillians but the massacre of Protestants attending worship is to be deleted. How is that fair sir? i did not use too many references because i did not realise that i had to because so much of the information has been taken from other wiki pages and some of it is Oral tradition within the Orange Order and so who can i attribute the quote to? The information given in that document is largely false and yet anything i corrected was deleted...lenny murphy was charged with the deaths of four people one of whom was protestant but yet that wiki page says he killed "an estimated thirty Catholics, between 1972 and 1982" and that the victims "were killed for no other reason than their religious affiliation" which is clearly incorrect considering protestants were killed by the group as well as Roman Catholics! not only that but Lenny Murphy is described as Physcopathic which is also a lie as he was not found to be afflicted with a personality disorder at his trial. the page says that mass-goers were prevented from attending mass by Loyalist paramilitaries which is untrue as it was a protest by the people of harryville in ballymeana not loyalist paramilitaries and i find it amazing to see that this is not backed up by a reference but yet is allowed to stay on the page! No mention is given to the Protestant places of worship being destroyed but worst of all is the story of "the attack on St Matthew's church by Loyalists on the night of 27 June 1970 when the Provisional IRA, led by Billy McKee repelled the attack with the death of at least four Loyalists and one PIRA member" which is complete fallacy wikipedia itself says that the loyalists after an attack on an orange parade by the PIRA decided to attack the Short Strand Area and upon hearing this billy mckee took up position in the chapels's tower as a sniper picking off the so called loyalists as they stood on the streets below! thus we see that there was no attack on Saint Matthew's Chapel as the writer would have us believe but instead a PIRA gunman sniping from a chapel's bell tower!and for that information you can read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_McKee and also you can read Jim Cuisack/Henry Mcdonalds book entitled "UVF" for the story of Mckee as the sniper

ANTI-CATHOLICISM is nothing more than a pro republican page and is not neutral in any sense of the word and i am shocked that wikipedia would delete the truth in support of propaganda and to delete the names of the victims of the "Military wing of the Roman Catholic Church" (wikiquote Ian Paisley) is disgusting and shows a complete disrespect for the dead, and this page goes left the way it is can only strive to create divisions and open old wounds, imagine if this page was published in a newspaper? imagine the outcry! even its title is wrong it is a page about Anti-ROMAN-Catholicism not Anti-Catholicism....as has been taught in Protestant Churches through the years Rome is nothing but a wolf in sheeps clothing! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sword of the Lord and Gideon (talkcontribs) 21:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

While you may in fact be correct in believing that some of the article is not without bias, I reverted your edit for two reasons: First, it was completely unsourced (putting someone's name as a reference doesn't really count). Second, describing a Catholic church as a "Romish temple", describing Protestants as "true Biblical Christians" and comments such as "...cuddling up to Rome is of course unscriptural", among other comments, is not neutral. If you feel that there is information that needs to be added to the article, then go to the article's talk page and discuss it with other editors, and then find reputable sources that back up your addition. WP:HAU

Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 17:43, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

apollo 11

Doesn't it make sense to use the term Football pitch seeing as it is recognized by the majority as just that. Otherwise an american football field would have been depicted.

I'm not going to get into an edit war over this, since it really isn't that big a deal either way, but the general guideline has always been to use American English for articles on American topics. (In American English, it's a field, not a pitch) Another example of this can be seen in the use of Imperial or metric units on articles about US cities or states, in that although most of the world uses the metric system, the imperial units go first in these articles. Orphaned non-free media (Image:SiouxFallsSeal1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:SiouxFallsSeal1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:15, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

>> Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to New York.

I'm sorry, but I have NO idea what you're talking about. I've never even visited the "New York" page, much less edited it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.212.15.177 (talk) 07:22, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

This is one of the edits that came from your IP address several months ago. It may not have been you, but it was someone from your IP. Although it isn't required, one of the benefits of registering an account is that you won't be warned or blocked for the vandalism of others. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 16:03, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible) system - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:44, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Why

Have you reverted all of my edits? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.125.223.62 (talk) 02:08, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Because your test edits capitalized every letter in today's featured article, and you've received plenty of warnings to stop doing this. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 02:13, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Have you tried Huggle?

Hello. You're doing a really fine job reverting vandalism. Did you ever consider getting Huggle? It's actually a little faster than rollback, and now I've started using it. On a side note, I'm giving you this:

  The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Have this barnstar for your vandal-fighting efforts, and keep up the good work! -- SchfiftyThree 04:14, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the Barnstar! About Huggle, I don't know why, but I've just always been happy with reverting vandalism the old school way. Although it's slower, I just think it's easier to make sure you are being accurate about it. That said, I might just throw in the old school towel and try it one of these days, who knows. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 04:22, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I used to just revert manually for a long time, but then I decided to see what Huggle was like, and now I am starting to like it. Are you using Mozilla Firefox? SchfiftyThree 04:25, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Nope, I use IE. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 04:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my page; this vandal has taken to following me now that I've semi-protected the talk page of his main target, and I'm sorry he's decided to include you as well. I've blocked the IP, but it's a dynamic ISP so he may return. If so, please feel free to let me or another admin know of the situation and one of us can semi-protect your page for you if you wish. Best, Risker (talk) 04:38, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

You're more than welcome for the revert, and thanks for the heads-up. Up until now, I've been able to avoid semi-protection of my userspace, it does get vandalized a lot, but it's never been too much to handle. I somewhat like the fact that it works a bit like the canary in the coalmine as to sockpuppet mischief and so on, I'll probably just wait and see, but if the vandalism does get out of hand, I'll let you know.
