Speedy deletion nomination of XSuite Invoice Cube

Hello Alex Kowalski. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to XSuite Invoice Cube, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. I very rarely write on Wikipedia and have never received any compensation or had any other benefit from it - not even for the recently deleted article. The article is an almost verbatim translation from the German Wikipedia, where it has never been objected to. The software has relevance - thousands of accountants work with it every day, also in the USA. I don't find it overdone in promotional language, it has many references. How can I improve it so that it is accepted? Maybe remove the links to the xsuite website?

Hi. I nearly missed your message because you posted it in the middle of my Talk page, in a paragraph on a different subject. Yes, do remove all external links from the text of any article you write - including them will almost automatically get your article tagged for promotion. Also, ensure that you have plenty of independent references; most of what the company says about its own products should be disregarded. And a statement like "xSuite Invoice Cube is fully SAP-certified, with "SAP Integration Certification" for SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA" is something only a manufacturer would say - clearly intended to promote the produt. However, looking at the deleted text again, it's not as bad as I initially felt, and I'm prepared to move it to draft space for you to work on. You'll find it at Draft:XSuite Invoice Cube.

Incidentally, the fact that an article exists on another Wikipedia is seldom a good reason for it to be accepted on this one, nor is the fact that "it has never been objected to". Even with the same rules on promotion, things slip through the net. Deb (talk) 09:12, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Deb, Alex and I have discussed this on my talk page. You know what I find so interesting? Every time I deal with an editor who writes an article about some company because they think it's somehow important to "present factual information", they never write about the broader subject in an encyclopedic way, but always about one single product. Of course should have something on business process automation, and we do, but invariably, they write about one specific (commercial) instance in stead of the class. Alex, perhaps you could write an article about automation of invoice processing without mentioning a single individual vendor? Vexations (talk) 17:07, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Vexations, that's very true. I would imagine it's because they lack the expertise to write about the broader subject. Since Alex's work here is mainly translating from other language Wikipedias, I would think that's also due to there (a) not being articles on those subjects in other languages (note that this is a German article about a German company) and also (b) being short on the technical vocabulary required to translate the base concepts. Ok, Deb, I will try then to improve the article without manufacturer wordings and references. How is it if there are no English-language references for statements?
