Hello Akhagan! Welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Alex, and I'm also a grad student interested in microbiology. There's lots to be done around here, so I was really glad to see that you joined WP:Micro! The WP:Micro group is a great thing to have, and a great way to organize microbio-related pages, however the group seems to have fallen quiet over the last several years, and could definitely use more interested contributors! So anyway, I just wanted to swing by and extend a hand in greeting. Getting started here can be a bit overwhelming with scores of policies, common practices, and Wiki markup to get used to (plus sometimes its difficult to figure out what needs doing).
