January 2019 edit

  Hello, I'm SQGibbon. I noticed that you recently removed content from Anu Malik without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Anu Malik, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, AkbarBakht. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:52, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi AkbarBakht and welcome to Wikipedia. As you state here you work for this person and therefore have a conflict of interest and are likely being paid to edit here. Here are a few facts you may be unaware of about Wikipedia. Firstly, the person the article is written about does not own the page and does not control the content. Therefore, just because there is negative media added to their page, it will not be removed unless it violates our biography of a living person policy. Secondly, If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AkbarBakht. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AkbarBakht|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared (you should use WP:Edit requests on the articles talk page if you are editing beyond removing vandalism or copyediting though). Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:56, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I only want you to remove the false news on wikipedia. All that accusation made on Anu Malik was not true hence it should not be there on his wiki page. Its a kind request, please do not put the controversy section.

Hi again. Since he has stepped down from his job due to these accusations, they seem notable enough to add at least. Since you have a conflict of interest, please disclose it and then use the WP:Edit request template on Talk:Anu Malik for future edits. When making requests, it is important to jave a strong argument behind it besides "wanting to remove negative attention from the web" since Wikipedia is not censored like that. Me again. If you continue editing without dislcosing and show you are only here to promote your client you may be blocked. Please follow my advice above. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:25, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

A -shri Anu malik voluntarily stepped down as a judge from Indian idol 10 as he did not want false malicious allegations to affect his show Indian idol B - He was not removed from the show as the tickr on sony channel clearly stated he has taken a "break from the show” C - I suppose you have not seen the finale of the show Indian idol 10 as the MD & CEO of sony shri NP singh openly mentioned on the show that ( I shri Np singh ji and sony are grateful to

   anu Jee for his contribution to our show Indian idol 10)

D - For your kind information all the allegations against anu malik are false / malicious / unfounded as not one single complaint was filed against anu Jee so to malign him in the controversy section is not only completely unfair and unjust but also against the law and tenets of Wikipedia Please remove it and if you still insist on adding malicious gossip and tarnishing the image of on of the leading musical lights of India you can keep on doing your thing and we shall keep in removing it as we believe in fairness and not tarnishing someone’s name. Thank you

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31h for edit-warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  User:Ymblanter (talk) 08:25, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
