Conflict of interest with Ashworth College, James Madison High School, and Christine Jax

Hello Aedixon. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Aedixon. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Aedixon|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Wow. This is supremely harsh considering I've done nothing untoward or remotely editorializing about this page. Yes, I work for this school. I am a writer and former journalist. No I don't do black hat SEO. Maybe try some positive advice for me rather than accusations and blatantly undoing hours worth of work? Aedixon (talk) 05:10, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

Also, I placed Christine Jax photo at her request. No reason to delete. What are you looking for exactly? There were some miscellaneous problems with your edits, which in my view were too extensive to be made by a paid COI editor without prior discussion. It's just a bad idea to be making significant edits like that when you have a COI. Best practice is to propose the edits on the talk page and let independent editors review and implement them. A comment from another editor: Anyone who is paid or otherwise compensated must declare that on their user page. In addition, it is strongly recommended that anyone who is paid not directly edit the article(s) in question regardless of the proposed content. Rather, the normal process is that the editor proposed the the new or changed content in the Talk of the article, for other editors to look at and decide whether to change the article accordingly, or not. It is not about what you wrote. Or you. Or the editor(s) that you feel have it in for you. David notMD (talk) 02:20, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
