On Wikiprojects

Hello,

You submitted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Template:WikiProject SUNY to WP:Articles for creation. I unfortunately will have to decline it, simply because it is a more complicated procedure. First of all, I wanted to thank you for your contributions. I also wanted to tell you a little bit about how WikiProjects work on Wikipedia. WikiProjects are administered by Wikipedia:WikiProject Council. There is a procedure for their creation. I'm not an expert with the Council, but I know that they have a procedure for WikiProject creation. You can read about it at WP:WPPRO. It would probably be essential for you to read WP:PROJGUIDE as well. You may be better served with a task force. Again, thank you for your interest in creating a WikiProject and helping Wikipedia. If you have any further questions, you can write on my talk page (User talk:Gosox5555) and I may at the very least know who to ask. Gosox(55)(55) 20:19, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer permission

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trialscheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:02, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Why is Editing Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Work via Wikiprojects/Obsolete sections in article space? Everard Proudfoot (talk) 07:45, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Simple error on my part. The word "Editing" should not be there and the page has been moved. Adavis444 (talk) 07:48, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Bernard Foing WP:GA review

Hi, you created the GA Review page[1] for my article on Bernard Foing. I notice, however, that there hasn't been any activity on this page since then. Are you planning on doing the GA review? If you've been busy or do not intend on doing the GA review, that's fine. I was just curious.... A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 23:26, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

On a side note, could you please "claim" the review by pasting
#:{{GAReview}} ~~~~
under Foing's entryhere? Thanks, Airplaneman 03:55, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
As you have not responded, I have taken over the review. Jezhotwells (talk) 12:26, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Otakon Wikipedia article

Hi Adavis444, I noticed you commented out the "Future Expansion" section of the article and noted your comment in the Talk page. I am also, a current Otakorp/Otakon staff member and Otakorp has discussed moving Otakon in the past. You can find evidence of this by viewing archived Otakorp meeting minutes either on the Otakon Staff site at www.otakon.com/otastaff or through the staff only section of the forumhttp://board.otakon.com, Pittsburgh is one city interested in having Otakon come there as seen in this staff only thread for Otakon dated 2009: http://board.otakon.com/index.php?showtopic=18303 (requires account with Otakon Staff access to view). D.C. has sent actual representatives during Otakon a couple of years ago to meet with Otakorp representatives to discuss possible relocation of Otakon to the D.C. Convention Center and Otakorp actually sent some of their logistics staffers to the D.C. Convention Center to see if it's feasible for Otakon. KSweeley (talk) 16:48, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

MfD nomination of Portal:SUNY

Portal:SUNY, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:SUNY and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:SUNY during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of Portal:SUNY

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top ofthe page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note onthe talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.
