Welcome!

Hello, Abmaoja, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Dougweller (talk) 19:20, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of George Guinan Latchford edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on George Guinan Latchford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cindy(talk to me) 20:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Biographies edit

Thanks for your work on these, but besides the lack of sources, could you read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biographies. One minor thing, after the first use of a full name, please stick to plain surnames afterwards. Also, section headings - only capitalise the first word and proper nouns. Thanks. Stephen Latchford edit

Hello, it looks like you have been working on the Stephen Latchford article. It might not have been your intention, but it looks like your most recent change removed a large part of Latchford's family history. Is there a particular reason why you want this material tossed? In the future, it's a good idea to briefly indicate what you're doing and why (a sentence or two is fine) in the edit summary. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing more of your useful additions to this and other articles! Midhart90 (talk) 23:39, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

P.S. It would also help if you cited the sources of all the new material you're adding. Don't worry about getting the citations in the proper format. If you want to just post links to the material on the article's talk page, I can help you turn them into citations in the article.

December 2012 edit

Hello, I'm Denisarona. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Muawiyah I without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Denisarona (talk) 15:19, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Umar, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 15:21, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Tahdhib al-Ahkam. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dougweller (talk) 15:54, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Umar, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You are going through articles simply deleting material relating to Shia views. You will be blocked if you do this again. Dougweller (talk) 17:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not assume ownership of articles such as Stephen Latchford. If you aren't willing to allow your contributions to be edited extensively or be redistributed by others, please do not submit them. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 19:16, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please review my edits here. I'm trying to make the article conform to the rules here on wikipedia. Please do not reinsert all of the first names. Please let others edit this page to trim it down and make it compliant with our rules. Please review WP:OWN and WP:COI, especially WP:COI#Writing_about_yourself_and_people_you_know. Thanks. Disambiguation link notification for January 30 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Palestinian expulsion from Kuwait, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Palestinian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Basil William Spalding edit

The article Basil William Spalding has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Could not find significant coverage to satisfy WP:GNG, the article has no sources to help on this front

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
