Strikeforce edit

I don't think you really understand how these pages work. The only officially announced match on that card (meaning it is listed on the Strikeforce.com event page) is Fedor vs. Henderson. Everything else is not OFFICIALLY listed there. Once they put it up on the site, the matches can then be added officially. Thanks. Udar55 (talk) 17:35, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

No problem. Glad to see another enthusiastic MMA fan on here. And I got Fedor but winning by decision. Udar55 (talk) 14:14, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

June 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Roberto Peralta. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Specifically, you are not telling us, in the opening sentence, whether Peralta is indeed a New York Yankees pitcher as I suspect. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:50, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Future fights in fight records edit

Please do not add future fights to a fighter's fight history as per a two year old consensus at the MMA WikiProject. If you have arguments against this consensus, you are welcome to provide valid points in the recent discussion on this topic on the project's talk page. Thank you. --TreyGeek (talk) 13:58, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I read what you said, but those fights I have edited is not a future fight. Actually, it is my bad, i dd not put a reference, but like i said, they are not future fights, but real announced fights. (AaronBok (talk) 15:45, 26 June 2011 (UTC))Reply
A future fight is a fight that occurs in the future. If you had read the discussion at the MMA WikiProject you would have seen that fights should not be added to a fighter's record table until after the fight has been completed. Again, if you wish to discuss this, the MMA WikiProject would be the best place to do so since this is a consensus established there. --TreyGeek (talk) 18:23, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ryan Bader, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
As I have said before, the consensus within the MMA WikiProject is to follow the Wikipedia policy, WP:CRYSTAL, and not add future fights to a fighter's fight history table. I told you that if you disagree with this consensus to follow policy to discuss it at the project page. You have not done so. Continuing to not follow policy and not discuss this at the project and adding future fights to record table will be construed as being unconstructive and possibly vandalism. Again, discuss the issue at the WikiProject. --TreyGeek (talk) 14:18, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Stop changing it.... it is slated for that event... it will happen in about a week, so stop. (AaronBok (talk) 14:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC))
If you continue to not follow Wikipedia policy and not discuss the issue with the MMA WikiProject the warnings will continue to escalate leading to a possibly blocking of editing privileges. Again, discuss it with the WikiProject. Also, it is the norm to keep all discussions on the same user talk page, so, there is no need to place your responses on my talk page. I can see when you reply on your talk page. --TreyGeek (talk) 14:41, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/AaronBok edit

Hello AaronBok. I noticed you, or another editor created a Requests for Adminship page under your name, and I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. Please note that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets an extremely high bar for potential administrator candidates. That being said, I strongly urge you to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, Wikipedia:Adminship is not for new users, and Wikipedia:Not now, and ask you to reconsider whether you really do wish to go through with your candidacy; please understand that you stand very little to no chance of passing RfA at this point and that you are strongly discouraged from running for adminship. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that request and are absolutely positive this is what you want, please do let me know; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:08, 8 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Then you will need to transclude your RfA at WP:RFA by following the instructions at WP:RFA/N. I still suggest you withdraw, as a large majority of users with less than 3,000 edits have historically failed their RfAs, but it is still up to you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:15, 8 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hmm... I see... Then I will wait until I get to your level. I will not continue then. (AaronBok (talk) 23:19, 8 January 2012 (UTC))Reply

I have deleted the page then. Please do read the blue links above as many of them are helpful for future RfAs. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:30, 8 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
