Hi, I am wondering if you can give me some tips. I'm confused by the "talk" pages, not sure what to do with my personal page, and how much to put there... I'm also interested in doing a branch off page from Rambam Health Care Campus focusing only on its history. I'd also like to understand what I can and cannot reference better, and how much. The Help is rather overwhelming. I have the big picture. Its the nuances I am interested in. Many thanks.

- Hi 777desha777; welcome to Wikipedia. As briefly as possible, here are the answers to your questions...
- Article talkpages are for discussing articles (not the subjects of articles): what information should be included, how thing should be worded, whether certain sources are appropriate and so on. They are also used for resolving disputes; if two editors disagree about an article, the talkpage is usually the first place fro them to try and iron out their differences. User talkpages, like this one, are for communicating directly with individual users, to let them know about events or discussions that they may be interested in or to show appreciation for their efforts. More information here.
- Your userpage (User:777desha777) is for you to provide information relating to your work on Wikipedia - there's a fair amount of leeway over what you can include, but see this section of the userpage policy for a simple overview of what can be included. You aren't obliged to put anything there, however.
- You would need a fairly substantial amount of additional information to warrant a spin-off article on the history of Rambam Health Care Campus; I would suggest that you add what you have to the History section of that page and then propose a split (I can help you with that, just ask) if the section seems to then be too unwieldy.
- You can find a list of pages which need better references at this page; when I checked there were over 200,000 entries so you're spoiled for choice... If you need help with referencing, this short essay may help. As far as how much goes, more references (as long as they are to reliable sources are almost invariably a Good Thing!
- I hope that helps a bit. If you need specific assistance with anything, I recommend visiting the Teahouse, which is a friendly venue for newer editors to ask questions. You're also welcome to contact me on my talkpage at any time. Yunshui 雲水 11:33, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

On the review of the page Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Rafael Beyar
editHi User:777desha777 ! Well the reliability of a source depends on context. Each source must be carefully weighed to judge whether it is reliable for the statement being made and is an appropriate source for that content. In general, the more people engaged in checking facts, analyzing legal issues, and scrutinizing the writing, the more reliable the publication. Sources should directly support the information as it is presented in an article. In the case of your article, you only had two sources on your article, which was even only a passing mention. There should be several articles that a focused on the subject of your article. I realized you have made some improvements on the article and added one more source. If you can, you should attach more sources which are more focused on your subject so that his notability can be verified. Then you should be able to have your article accepted! Hope that helped! You can go to Wikipedia:RS or Wikipedia:V for more information.

- (dropping by) please do make some of the improvements specified, and the article will be accepted--it's mainly a question of removing adjectives, and making absolutely certain nothing is copied from a web page or elsewhere. DGG ( talk ) 04:11, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Sulfurboy (talk) 16:30, 8 July 2015 (UTC)File permission problem with File:Michael Silbermann, DMD, PhD.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Michael Silbermann, DMD, PhD.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Randykitty (talk) 14:43, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Michael Silbermann, DMD, PhD.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Michael Silbermann, DMD, PhD.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Randykitty (talk) 14:43, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
