Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, 76.116.52.59. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page The Empire Strikes Back, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 14:50, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Unsourced edits, conflict of interest, trivia and promotion, drawing your attention
editHi anonymous. Over the past years you have been warned about your edits, which seem to be very single minded about one person, Greg Fulginiti. This includes a conflict of interest warning you have been given and multiple warnings about lack of sources. Since you are continuing with the same edits without disclosing your connection to Greg Fulginiti, without providing sources and also adding this information where it seems trivial (and promotional), I went ahead and removed those edits from all articles I could. Hopefully this might draw your attention. --Muhandes (talk) 11:21, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Your edits make it very clear prove that you are only here to engage in promotion. Please stop. --Muhandes (talk) 08:33, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- If your intention is to make sure this person is not mentioned anywhere in Wikipedia, you are doing a good job. Communication is required and if you continue to ignore these requests, your edits will be continually reverted. --Muhandes (talk) 12:24, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
