August 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Peculiar Undertone. I noticed that you made a comment on the page American Indian Wars with this edit that didn't seem very civil, so I removed it. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Peculiar Undertone (talk) 03:51, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on American Indian Wars. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Meters (talk) 03:52, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on American Indian Wars. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Meters (talk) 03:52, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

The edit is already under discussion on the talk page. Either discuss it there per WP:BRD or leave it alone. Meters (talk) 03:53, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at American Indian Wars shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Donald Albury 19:27, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Squeakachu. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Johnny Appleseed, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Squeakachu (talk) 19:45, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

October 2022 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Jerry Lee Lewis are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:29, 28 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Elizium23. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Talk:Pope Benedict XVI, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Elizium23 (talk) 15:30, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Capitol Hill Occupied Protest for general discussion of this or other topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See the talk page guidelines for more information. So you support the treasonous traitors from the communist terror group BLM . The group that burned up Seattle and attacked the police. Then firebombing a police station. You must be from communist California. What's inappropriate about telling the truth about communist traitors. 50.102.147.20 (talk) 14:54, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
You are free to stand on a street corner, write your congressperson or President Biden, or use social media, or a personal website, to give your views on any topic. You can't do that here. This is an encyclopedia that summarizes independent reliable sources that can be verified. It is not a free speech forum. No political or social position is endorsed here. You will be blocked if you continue. 331dot (talk) 16:10, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
The terrorist attack by BLM was well documented on TV by every news network in the land. The truth is not a political or social position it is just the truth. 50.102.147.20 (talk) 16:29, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please see WP:TRUTH. If you are here to be a truth fighter, your time here is going to be difficult and short. Truth is in the eye of the beholder these days. If you are interested in collaboration with other humans from around the world, with varying viewpoints, to arrive at a consensus as to what an article should say, please do so. This isn't a place to merely give our views. 331dot (talk) 16:38, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
